First identify what stopped: the playlist may have reached its last tour video, the live broadcast may have ended because its incoming feed stopped, or a video may have stalled during ordinary playback. These are separate problems with different fixes. Ask: Does the playlist stop, or does the live broadcast end?
Work out which kind of stopping you’re seeing
- Playlist playback: You’re watching a YouTube playlist and it stops or leaves the playlist at the last tour clip. Check the playlist’s Loop control.
- Broadcast termination: You’re sending prerecorded tour clips to YouTube Live, and the live event itself ends. Check whether the source is still sending video and inspect the broadcast’s auto-stop setting.
- Playback fault: A clip buffers or stops before it finishes, perhaps only on one device. Troubleshoot the connection, device, app or browser, and playback quality.
YouTube documents these settings and diagnostic steps, but they do not establish the cause of a particular channel’s stoppage.
If the playlist stops at the end
Turn on Loop if you want the playlist to repeat. YouTube Help describes how to repeat a playlist on computer, mobile, TV, and game consoles: Loop videos or playlists on YouTube.
For an embedded player, the YouTube IFrame Player API says looping is off by default. When enabled, the player returns to the first item after the last video ends. That setting concerns playlist playback; it does not keep a live broadcast active: YouTube IFrame Player API Reference.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
If the live broadcast itself ends
Check the feed being sent to the bound live stream. YouTube’s live-streaming documentation covers encoder-based streaming and broadcast controls: Get started with live streaming.
- Confirm the encoder or other source is still sending video to the stream bound to the broadcast.
- Inspect the broadcast’s auto-stop configuration in the relevant live setup.
- If the source stopped sending, restore its video feed and check the broadcast state before restarting.
YouTube’s LiveBroadcasts API reference describes enableAutoStop as ending a broadcast around one minute after the channel owner stops sending video to the bound live stream. The Life of a Broadcast documentation explains the broadcast lifecycle. The timing is a documented behavior, not proof that auto-stop caused your particular interruption.

If a tour video stalls before it ends
Treat this as a playback fault rather than a playlist-loop or broadcast-lifecycle issue. YouTube recommends isolating the connection and device, restarting or updating the app or browser, clearing the cache where applicable, and manually adjusting playback quality when available. Try another internet connection or supported device to see whether the problem follows the network or the original device. See Troubleshoot streaming and video issues.
What Live Redirect does—and doesn’t do
YouTube Live Redirect can start a Premiere after a live stream ends; it is not documented as a way to keep a live broadcast running through an arbitrary playlist. YouTube’s guide says the live stream must end before the Premiere begins: Set up Live Redirect in the Live Control Room.
