Fortnite disabled the Peacemaker-inspired “Peaceful Hips” emote on September 28, 2025, after viewers connected its choreography to a major Season 2 plot reveal. Epic later said it found no creative intent to link the dance to the storyline and planned to modify its choreography. As of October 8, 2026, the Fortnite item shop lists the emote as “Currently Not Available”—a shop status that does not establish whether it was permanently removed or whether existing owners can still use it.
Why did Fortnite disable the Peaceful Hips emote?
The reaction followed a spoiler for Peacemaker Season 2, episode 6, “Ignorance Is Chris,” which aired September 25, 2025. The episode revealed that the season’s seemingly ideal alternate dimension was a Nazi-ruled version of America, where swastikas replaced the stars on the flag. Viewers then interpreted alternating arm positions in the “Peaceful Hips” dance as resembling a swastika.
The emote recreated dance movements from the show’s Season 2 opening credits. Its release preceded the episode’s reveal: Ars Technica reported that it was first introduced in Fortnite on September 15, 2025. The resemblance was an audience interpretation prompted by the plot twist, not evidence that the emote’s creators intended to include Nazi imagery.

Fortnite’s item-shop page listed “Peaceful Hips” as “Currently Not Available” when checked on October 8, 2026. That wording describes its shop status at that time. It does not establish that the emote has been permanently removed, whether the announced choreography edit is live, or whether players who already own it can use it in-game.
