The Sabrina Carpenter emote removed from Fortnite was Caffeinated, inspired by her song “Espresso.” Epic called its October 17, 2024 removal from the Item Shop temporary, but its statement gave no reason or return date. A theory that complaints about the sped-up audio prompted the removal was reported by esports.gg, not confirmed by Epic.
Which Sabrina Carpenter emote did Fortnite remove?
It was Caffeinated, an Emote associated with “Espresso.” Esports.gg reported that it entered the Item Shop rotation on October 16, 2024, and was removed the following day. The outlet described its initial availability as about 19 hours.
Why did Epic remove Caffeinated?
Epic did not give a reason in the statement reproduced by esports.gg. Fortnite Status wrote on October 17, 2024: “We’ve temporarily removed the Caffeinated Emote from the Item Shop, and will provide more info on when it will return.” The statement confirms a temporary removal and a promise of more information; it does not explain the decision.
Esports.gg reported player criticism of the emote’s sped-up audio as a possible explanation. That is community speculation, not a cause confirmed by Epic.
