A report said that two separate PC editions of Grand Theft Auto V—Enhanced and Legacy—appeared in Steam’s top 10 at the same time. The report put Enhanced at No. 6, with a 24-hour peak of 157,463 players, and Legacy at No. 10, with a peak of 120,243. Those are historical figures attributed to that report, not current rankings or player counts.
Why GTA 5 appeared twice on Steam’s charts
Steam lists Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced and Grand Theft Auto V Legacy as separate PC products. Their distinct listings mean Steam can count activity for each edition separately rather than showing one combined GTA V entry. Steam’s official listings confirm that the editions are separate; the historical ranking itself comes from a Game Center report.
That report placed Enhanced sixth and Legacy tenth among Steam’s top-played games, citing each edition’s 24-hour peak. The article’s accessible page shows December 17, 2025, while search indexing showed August 3, 2026, so the date of publication—and the precise date of the chart snapshot—cannot be resolved from the available record. The reported ranks and peaks should therefore be read as a dated historical claim, not a live chart result. Game Center’s report

Can you move progress from Legacy to Enhanced?
Steam’s Enhanced listing says current PC players can transfer Story Mode progress and GTA Online characters and progression from Legacy to Enhanced through a one-time migration. The stated allowance is one-time; Steam’s wording does not promise repeated transfers. Check the official listing for the current migration details before starting. No. They are the peaks reported in the historical Game Center story, and Steam player figures change over time. For comparison, SteamCharts recorded 24-hour peaks of 63,377 for Enhanced and 70,999 for Legacy on October 8, 2026. These are third-party tracker figures at that date, not live counts or Steam’s official historical validation of the earlier rankings. The historical report also mentioned player dissatisfaction with some Enhanced changes. That is an anecdotal account from the article, not evidence that players broadly share that view.
