Layla’s Blue Spectre is considered rare because it is an early Mobile Legends: Bang Bang skin reportedly distributed to a limited group through an event in 2017. Moonton has called it one of the game’s rarest and earliest skins, but no verified source gives the number of players who received it or still own it.
Why Blue Spectre is considered rare
Moonton described Layla “Blue Spectre” as “one of the rarest and earliest” Mobile Legends: Bang Bang skins in a 5 June 2026 announcement. That announcement was about a redesigned version for Magic Chess: Go Go (MCGG), not a new distribution of the original MLBB skin. Moonton’s announcement
Accounts of the original skin’s release point to restricted access at a 2017 event. Suara.com reports that selected players received vouchers at an event in Thailand; Dunia Games says players could obtain it by attending an offline event in the Philippines. The accounts conflict on the location, and the official announcement does not settle the discrepancy. Suara.com’s report · Dunia Games’ report
How rare is it in numbers?
There is no substantiated count of the original skin’s codes, recipients or current owners in the sources reviewed. It is fair to call Blue Spectre rare based on Moonton’s description and reports of limited event distribution, but there is not enough evidence to give it an owner count or rank it numerically against other skins.

Did Blue Spectre come back?
Moonton’s 2026 announcement described a redesigned Blue Spectre for MCGG and said it was available through that game’s Rainbow Flash event until 21 June 2026. Players could complete tasks and collect anniversary letters to obtain it. That was a separate MCGG version and event; it does not show that the original MLBB skin returned. Moonton’s announcement
The announcement does not confirm whether the original MLBB skin is currently obtainable. A 2024 secondary report is not enough to establish that it has never been re-released, so its present availability should be treated as unverified.
