Neuvillette and Zhongli returned together in Genshin Impact Version 5.2 Phase II, which is the headline prediction from an October 2024 banner leak. The leak’s four-star details were less reliable. It grouped Ororon with Heizou and Fischl, while the banner listings published for the update placed Ororon in Phase I and Heizou and Fischl in Phase II. Version 5.2 ended in 2024, so everything below is a retrospective check on a leak, not guidance for current pulls.
What the leak claimed
On October 15, 2024, Beebom published a report on a 5.2 banner leak attributed to the leaker HomDGCat. The article marked the information as questionable and told readers it was a leak, not an official lineup. It predicted Chasca and Lyney for Phase I, Neuvillette and Zhongli for Phase II, and it discussed four-star returns. Its praise for Neuvillette’s damage output was editorial commentary, not a measured figure, so it should not be read as a performance statistic.
What HoYoverse confirmed
HoYoverse’s official Phase II notice and preview, published December 5, 2024, confirmed Neuvillette and Zhongli as the paired Phase II return. That confirmation is the part of the leak that proved accurate. The official notice is the primary source for Phase II; the Phase I lineup and dates below are taken from the Game8 banner guide, which lists Chasca and Lyney and does not show a publication date in the version consulted.
The 5.2 banners, phase by phase
| Phase | Dates | Five-star characters predicted in the October 2024 leak | Five-star characters in the confirmed banner listing | Four-star placement in the leak | Four-star placement in the confirmed banner listing |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Phase I | November 20 to December 10, 2024 (Game8 banner guide) | Chasca and Lyney | Chasca and Lyney | Heizou and Fischl grouped with Ororon in one phase | Ororon |
| Phase II | December 10 to December 31, 2024 (Game8 banner guide; official Phase II notice dated December 5, 2024) | Neuvillette and Zhongli | Neuvillette and Zhongli | Heizou and Fischl grouped with Ororon in one phase | Heizou and Fischl |
The five-star column matches in both phases. The four-star column does not, and the mismatch splits the grouping the leak had made.

Where the four-star prediction missed
The leak put Ororon with Heizou and Fischl, so a reader following it would have expected all three in the same phase. The banner listings separate them.
- Ororon appeared in Phase I, alongside Chasca and Lyney.
- Heizou and Fischl appeared in Phase II, alongside Neuvillette and Zhongli.
- Readers who used the leak as a shopping or planning list for four-star characters would have been wrong about Ororon’s phase.
How the shared guarantee worked across the paired banners
HoYoverse’s official notice states: “The wish guarantee count for ‘Character Event Wish’ and ‘Character Event Wish-2’ is shared, and is accumulated between both ‘Character Event Wish’ and ‘Character Event Wish-2.'” In practice, pulls on either of the two character event banners count toward one shared guarantee count rather than two separate ones. The notice is the source for this wording; it is not attributed to a named speaker.
How much the leak’s accuracy proves
A correct headline prediction is less impressive than it looks. The leak named two five-star pairs, and the official lineup matched both. The four-star grouping, however, did not survive contact with the official banners. A reader should weigh the claims separately:
- Five-star pairs in the leak matched both confirmed phases.
- Four-star placement was only partly correct and should not be repeated as fact.
- Assertions about strength or value came from editorial commentary, not from a measured source.
- The leaker’s identity and original provenance were not verified in the sources consulted, so the report documents what was claimed in October 2024, not how the information was obtained.
Using this retrospective today
Version 5.2 banners ended in December 2024, so this article does not offer pull advice for any current banner. For upcoming banners, check the official in-game announcements and HoYoverse’s published notices for each version, and treat unsourced leaks as predictions until an official notice confirms them.
