Then check that account’s Order History and purchase confirmation email. If the order is completed but the game is missing, refresh your sign-in and make sure the Microsoft Store and Minecraft Launcher use the same account. If the order is missing or still in progress, verify the payment before buying again.
Check which account bought Minecraft
Minecraft’s purchase confirmation is sent to the email address on the Microsoft account used to buy the game. Search your inbox for the confirmation, then open Microsoft Order History and sign in with that account. Minecraft Help recommends checking whether the game appears there to verify ownership: Minecraft: Missing Game Ownership.

- If you have more than one Microsoft account, check Order History for each account you might have used.
- On Windows PC, compare the account shown in the Minecraft Launcher with the account signed in to Microsoft Store. Both should be the account that owns Minecraft, or an account with an eligible active PC Game Pass subscription.
If the game is listed under a different account, sign in with that account rather than purchasing another copy.
Check whether the order completed
In Order History, open the Minecraft order and check its status. Microsoft describes Completed or Redeemed as a posted order; In progress means it has not yet posted to the payment option. See Microsoft’s Order History guidance.

- Minecoins let you buy Minecraft content you can enjoy on your Android, iOS, Windows 10, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch devices*
- Visit the in-game Minecraft marketplace, where you'll discover a constantly updating library of exciting new Minecraft content - from a community whose imagination knows no limits.
- Once you've redeemed your Minecoins, they'll be linked with your Xbox Live account, so you can access your coins and purchases through all of your supported devices that run Minecraft.
- Minecoins are a perfect gift for Minecraft players!
A payment or checkout confirmation screen by itself does not establish that a purchase succeeded. Minecraft Help says a successful purchase should have an email confirmation containing a transaction ID; without it, the transaction is unlikely to have succeeded. Check your card, bank, or other payment account as well. If the order is absent or in progress, verify whether a charge actually posted before trying to buy again. Minecraft Purchase FAQ.
Refresh access if the order is complete
On Windows PC
- Sign out of the Minecraft Launcher and Microsoft Store.
- Sign in to both using the Microsoft account that owns the game, or the eligible account with the active PC Game Pass subscription.
- Reopen the Launcher and check whether the Play button appears.
Minecraft identifies a wrong account in the Launcher or Microsoft Store as a reason the Play button may be missing. Its platform-specific sign-out and sign-in instructions are here: Minecraft Launcher Troubleshooting FAQ.
