Short answer: no official source we can verify shows that PUBG Lite has stopped banning cheaters, and none explains why a particular suspected player is still in a match. What the publisher has put in writing is a rule against cheating, a reporting route, and general statements about anti-cheat. The public record does not include current enforcement rates for the Lite game, so a player who sees an apparent hacker unpunished cannot tell from public information whether that case was reviewed, pending, or still undecided.
Before going further, one point of terminology matters. “PUBG Lite” is used for two different games, and the evidence differs between them.
Which game “PUBG Lite” refers to
The name is used for PUBG MOBILE LITE, the smaller mobile version of PUBG MOBILE with a 60-player map, and for a separate PC game that players also call PUBG LITE. The official PUBG MOBILE LITE site describes Lite as an independent game with its own accounts that cannot be played together with PUBG MOBILE. Every statement below refers to PUBG MOBILE LITE unless it says otherwise.
Availability also varies by region. PUBG MOBILE and PUBG MOBILE Lite stopped service and access in India on October 30, 2020, according to an official notice on the PUBG MOBILE site. That is a regional historical fact and says nothing about other countries.

What the official sources establish
The official sources support a small set of claims. The table separates what applies to PUBG MOBILE LITE from what belongs to the other PUBG titles.
| Topic | PUBG MOBILE LITE | PUBG MOBILE | PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS |
|---|---|---|---|
| Written rule against cheating | Official contract prohibits cheating and unauthorized third-party tools or modifications, including changes to game software or client-server data | Not stated in the sources reviewed for this article | Official support materials prohibit game-data modification and list penalties; these are not Lite-specific policy |
| Reporting route | PUBG Support describes an in-game report that is forwarded to its team; the support page is not clearly specific to Lite | Not stated in the sources reviewed for this article | Not stated in the sources reviewed for this article |
| Device-level measure | Not established; no source says the feature applies to Lite | Permanent device-ban feature announced December 2021 for devices determined to be used for malicious cheating | Not stated in the sources reviewed for this article |
| IP-based bans | Not established for Lite | An official FAQ warns that IP bans can wrongly penalize ordinary players who share an IP address | Not stated in the sources reviewed for this article |
| Published enforcement figures | None found | None found | About 7.81 million accounts using cheat programs had received permanent bans as of November 2025, a global-service figure |
The rule against cheating is the strongest point for Lite. It describes what is prohibited, not how quickly or how often the publisher acts. The reporting route is also real, but PUBG Support does not promise that a report will lead to an immediate ban. A reporter may be notified if action is taken.
Why a suspected cheater can remain in a match
Several explanations are consistent with the official material. None of them proves what happened in a specific case.

A report starts a review; it is not a sentence
PUBG Support’s guidance describes reports as forwarded to the team for review. Seeing a player behave suspiciously does not tell you what the publisher has detected, reviewed, or decided. A player may still be in a match because the report has not been acted on, because it was not a confirmed violation, or because the publisher does not disclose its reasons.
Ban reasons are not always disclosed
PUBG Support has said it does not reveal exact ban reasons, citing security. That means a player who was not punished will not receive an explanation, and a reporter will not necessarily learn the outcome. This is a general PUBG Support position; the sources do not show how it is applied to a particular Lite case.
Anti-cheat is an ongoing contest
In a 2021 statement, the PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS Anti-Cheat Team wrote: “Anti-cheat is always a never-ending fight and nothing we or anyone can do will ever completely stomp out cheating in competitive online games.” The statement concerns PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, but it describes how the publisher frames the problem across its games. It is not an admission about Lite’s detection systems.

Figures from other PUBG games do not transfer
The PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS figures are useful as context only. The publisher reported that the ratio of suspected cheater accounts was about 45% lower than in early 2021, a comparison it measured for its own service. The 2025 permanent-ban count covers that game’s global service. Neither figure establishes how many Lite accounts are banned, and the PUBG MOBILE device-ban feature has not been shown to operate in Lite.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What the public record does not establish
- Whether PUBG MOBILE LITE currently bans fewer cheaters than other PUBG titles.
- How many Lite accounts have been banned, and when.
- How long a Lite report typically takes to resolve.
- Whether Lite uses the PUBG MOBILE device-ban feature or IP-based bans.
- Why any specific suspected player remained in a specific match.
The absence of published Lite figures is not evidence that enforcement has stopped. It is only evidence that the figures are not public in the sources available.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteWhat to do if you encounter a suspected hacker
- Confirm which game you are playing. Check whether it is PUBG MOBILE LITE, PUBG MOBILE, or the separate PC PUBG LITE, because the rules and support pages differ.
- Use the in-game report function during or immediately after the match, while the match details are still visible.
- Record the match mode, approximate time, and the reported player’s in-game name, so the report is easier to match to the right session.
- Do not use third-party tools to check or retaliate. The Lite contract prohibits unauthorized tools and modifications, and that rule applies to players too.
- Expect no immediate result. A notification is possible only if the publisher takes action, and you should not assume a player remaining in the match means your report was ignored.
If you believe a player is cheating in a way that affects your account or your purchases, PUBG Support is the official channel for raising the issue, but the published guidance does not set a response time.
