Check Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege service-status page first. If your platform has no reported issue, use the exact error message and your platform to narrow down the next step.
Check whether Rainbow Six Siege services are down
Open Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege service-status page and check the platform you play on. When Ubisoft’s page was checked on October 5, 2026, it showed “No Issues” for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. That is a dated status snapshot, not a guarantee that services are available now; check the page again when the problem occurs.
If Ubisoft reports an issue for your platform, the offline message may be related to that service disruption. If it reports no issue, continue with the checks below.
Use the exact error message to narrow down the cause
Note whether the game says “offline,” “reconnecting,” or displays a numbered error code. Ubisoft documents different connection errors involving the game server, Ubisoft Services, matchmaking, an internet provider, or BattlEye. Those messages point to different areas, so the offline label by itself is not enough to identify the cause. Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege error-code list can help you identify the specific message.

If no outage is listed, troubleshoot your connection
Ubisoft’s PC connectivity guide recommends checking your connection and network setup before escalating the issue. Its recommendations include:
- If possible, test with a wired connection. Ubisoft says, “If possible, please test the issue on a wired connection for the most reliable and steady results.”
- Power-cycle your router and other network hardware.
- Check whether firewall, antivirus, or other software is interfering with the game’s connection.
- Consider whether a school, workplace, or other large network restricts the traffic the game needs.
See Ubisoft’s PC connectivity troubleshooting guide for its instructions. These are PC recommendations; console players should follow the platform-specific directions available through Ubisoft support rather than assuming the PC steps apply.

Check Ubisoft Connect if you play on PC
When launching through Ubisoft Connect PC, confirm that the client is online and allowed through your firewall or antivirus software. Ubisoft explains: “Please note that Ubisoft Connect PC will launch in Offline mode if you have no internet connection.” The launcher’s offline state can explain why it appears offline, but it does not establish why your connection failed. Ubisoft also says automatic updates will not install while Ubisoft Connect PC is offline.
If the launcher is online but the game still reports an issue, consult Ubisoft’s Ubisoft Connect PC overlay troubleshooting guidance, which includes checking that the client is current and looking for interference from background applications.

When to contact Ubisoft Support
If the service-status page shows no issue and Ubisoft’s connection steps do not resolve the problem, contact Ubisoft Support. Include your platform, region, the exact wording or error code, whether Ubisoft Connect is online (on PC), and whether testing a wired or different network changed anything. That information helps support distinguish a service, launcher, platform, or network problem.
