The patchwork villager from Pumpkin Town is Sally. If she is not appearing in Disney Dreamlight Valley, first check whether her introductory quest is available or active: Gameloft ties her arrival to messages around Kristoff’s home and Jack Skellington. If Sally is already unlocked, look for her with the in-game map and quest tracker. A Star Path duty mentioning her is a separate issue, and the sources available do not establish a guaranteed fix for a Sally-specific bug.
Why isn’t the patchwork villager appearing?
The clue refers to Sally, whose patchwork look is part of her character design. Gameloft introduced her in the December 4, 2024 “Sew Delightful” update. Its arrival context involves messages appearing around Kristoff’s home and the player and Jack Skellington helping welcome a new villager. Read Gameloft’s update announcement; the identity of the “patchwork villager from Pumpkin Town” is also identified in Destructoid’s October 5, 2026 guide.
“Not appearing” can mean three different things: Sally has not been unlocked, she is unlocked but not where you expect, or a Star Path duty is not counting progress. Check the related quest or the exact duty wording before trying fixes, since each situation calls for a different check.
How to check whether Sally is unlocked
- Open the Quest menu and look for a quest connected to Sally, Jack Skellington, or messages around Kristoff’s home.
- If that quest is available or active, read its displayed objective and complete the listed task. Gameloft’s update establishes this introductory context, but does not provide a universal recovery step for a quest that is stuck.
- Check the Quest menu again to see whether the objective or quest state has changed.
If no related quest appears, the available official information does not establish a specific unlock requirement or a guaranteed way to force the quest to appear. Avoid treating unrelated Star Path or Vault progress as an unlock step: Gameloft describes Vault Routine Duties as a way to earn tokens and unlock Vault items, not as a way to summon Sally or unblock her quest. Where is Sally if she is already unlocked?
Use the in-game map to check Sally’s marker, then use the quest tracker if you have an active objective involving her. The available sources do not document a reliable method to force Sally to a specific location. Restarting the game, fast traveling, changing the time, or moving buildings should not be presented as guaranteed fixes.
Why isn’t my patchwork villager duty progressing?
If the issue is a Star Path duty rather than Sally’s presence in the Valley, read the duty text carefully and confirm which event and platform you are playing. Star Path duties have changed over time: Gameloft said in August 2025 that it removed duties requiring specific previously released characters or locked features to make the event more accessible. Platform can matter, too. In its September 21, 2026 update notes, Gameloft described Haunting Elegance as the first Apple Arcade Star Path and said it uses daily duties. Do not assume guidance for another event or platform matches your duty list. Check the Season of Scares update notes.
