To keep stamina available in Dragon’s Dogma 2, ease off exertion and stand still to recover; to make the Arisen less encumbered, transfer heavy items to Pawns or store nonessentials at an inn. For a lasting increase in carrying capacity, the options reported by GameSpot include leveling, Golden Trove Beetles, certain rings, and the Thew augment.
How stamina use and recovery work
Running, clinging, and using weapon skills spend stamina, according to the official game manual. When stamina reaches zero, movement is temporarily restricted, so avoid spending it all immediately before a demanding climb or fight.
Stamina replenishes over time. Standing still speeds recovery, while climbing and jumping slow it. If you need stamina while continuing to move, the manual also describes using a stamina-restoring item through the shortcut. It does not establish a specific recovery time or say that one item is superior to another.
How to reduce the Arisen’s carried weight
For an immediate reduction, review the inventory and move heavy items off the Arisen. GameSpot’s inventory and carrying-capacity guide recommends handing items to the main Pawn or support Pawns. This frees the Arisen’s carrying space, though it uses space in a Pawn’s inventory.

Items you do not need on the road can instead go into storage at an inn. GameSpot also reports that fresh goods stored there do not turn stale or rotten while in storage. Use this option for supplies you want to keep but do not need to carry.
How to increase carrying capacity over time
GameSpot identifies four in-game capacity options. Its guide is dated March 21, 2024, so treat its specific mechanics and figures as guide-reported information, not as a newly confirmed developer progression table.

If stamina is becoming inconvenient during travel, first remove items the Arisen does not need immediately. If you routinely want to carry more even after clearing nonessentials, consider the longer-term capacity options instead.
