ZERO. They are separate events from different years—not one announcement.
September 24, 2024: English-dub premiere announced
Toei Animation and Fathom Events announced a three-day U.S. theatrical event for the world English dub premiere of Dragon Ball DAIMA. The announcement came on September 24, 2024; the screenings themselves were scheduled for November 10, 11, and 12, 2024, and featured the anime’s first three episodes. Toei Animation and Fathom Events’ announcement said tickets would go on sale October 11 and noted that participating theaters could change. Those dates are historical, not current listings.
Toei also released the first English-dub trailer to promote the event. Masayuki Endo, President and CEO of Toei Animation Inc., described the screenings as an opportunity for U.S. fans to see the dub early and experience the story on a big screen. The announcement identifies DAIMA as an original anime created by Akira Toriyama.
September 24, 2025: DAIMA Character Pack 2 launched
A separate Bandai Namco announcement, published September 19, 2025, set September 24 as the purchase availability date for DAIMA Character Pack 2 in DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO. The paid pack added six playable characters:

The same release said a free accompanying update added the First Demon World stage and balance adjustments. Owners of certain game editions or the named season pass were to receive the pack automatically. The release listed PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam; these are the platforms documented at launch, so check current platform and store availability for present-day purchase details. Bandai Namco’s announcement distinguishes the purchasable pack from the free update.

The headline’s “good day” framing can refer to either milestone, but the official releases do not establish representative fan sentiment or prove that fans broadly considered either date a good day. The clearest answer is date-specific: September 24, 2024 brought news of the upcoming U.S. dub screenings, while September 24, 2025 was the stated launch date for the game’s DAIMA pack. These should not be conflated.
