The official guidance from Netmarble and the general launch advice from Steam describe a set of checks rather than a guaranteed repair. The most reliable approach is to work through them in order, starting with the checks that change nothing on your system and moving to the ones that alter software or files only when they are needed.
Start with Netmarble’s Known Issues notice
Before changing anything on your PC, check whether the problem is already on Netmarble’s side. Netmarble’s Solo Leveling: ARISE Bug Report page says: “If an abnormality occurs while playing the game, please first check the official community “Known Issues” notice.” (Solo Leveling: ARISE Bug Report)
A current Known Issues notice can describe a fault in the game itself. In that case, local fixes such as driver or Windows updates will not resolve the crash, and waiting for a patch is the correct response. If the notice describes your symptom, you can skip the rest of the sequence.
The eight checks, in the order to run them
The steps below follow the order that starts with the least invasive checks. Each one is supported by vendor or platform guidance. None has been validated as a fix for Solo Leveling: ARISE specifically, so run them as diagnostics and keep a note of what you changed.

1. Restart the PC, then retry the launch
Steam’s general guide for games that stall at “Preparing to Launch” says to follow its checks after a fresh restart, so a clean boot is the first thing to try. This is general PC advice rather than a Netmarble-specific fix. If you start the game through the Netmarble launcher rather than Steam, Steam’s guide may not apply in full. (Steam Support: Games do not run after ‘Preparing to Launch’)
2. Install the latest Windows updates
Netmarble’s launcher guidance recommends installing the latest Windows updates. It notes that some games and AMD Radeon drivers depend on Microsoft .NET Framework, and that this framework requires current Windows updates. Open Windows Update from Settings and install anything pending, then restart before testing again. (Netmarble Launcher: Other Issues with Launching)
3. Update the graphics and sound drivers
Netmarble recommends keeping drivers for PC components such as graphics and sound current. The guidance does not name a driver version that is known to work, so install the latest version from your graphics card or motherboard maker rather than a specific build. Driver updates are reversible by rolling back in Device Manager if the new version causes problems. (Netmarble Launcher: Other Issues with Launching)

4. Temporarily close software that can interfere with the game
Netmarble lists several categories of software that can interfere with launching: antivirus, VPN, anti-spyware, firewall or other security software, peer-to-peer programs, FTP or web-server programs, IP-filtering tools, and download managers. Test selectively rather than disabling everything at once. Turn off one category, relaunch the game, and note the result. Restore your normal security settings afterward, and do not leave protection disabled. (Netmarble Launcher: Other Issues with Launching)

Steam’s general guide notes that launch problems can come from corrupted extracted game files and recommends verifying integrity. In the Steam client, open your library, right-click the game, choose Properties, then use the Installed Files tab to verify the integrity of game files. Steam’s instructions are platform-wide, so they may not apply to a build that runs through the Netmarble launcher. (Steam Support: Games do not run after ‘Preparing to Launch’)
6. Fix missing DirectX or Visual C++ files through the launcher
Some launch failures appear as a popup naming DirectX or Visual C++ Runtime. Netmarble says these popups can mean files needed to start the game are missing or damaged. Its documented route is:

- An import from Furyu
- From the anime series
- Detailed non-poseable figure
- Open the Netmarble launcher and go to Settings.
- Choose Archive.
- Follow the download link for the program named in the popup.
- Install the program, then restart the PC and retry the game.
Use this route only when the popup names one of these programs. A generic crash without such a message does not indicate a missing runtime. (Netmarble Launcher: Alerts Showing Program Name)
7. Confirm your PC meets the game’s requirements
Netmarble says that a PC that barely meets the minimum specifications, or does not meet them, may experience performance or execution problems. Check the requirements on the game’s official store or support listing for Solo Leveling: ARISE and compare them with your hardware. Be careful with third-party listings: the Steam store page for Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE, a separate title, shows different requirements, and those figures do not apply to Solo Leveling: ARISE. (Steam store page: Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE)
8. Report a persistent or unlisted failure to Netmarble
If the game still crashes after the checks above, return to the Known Issues notice, since a new entry may have been posted. If nothing matches your symptom, contact Netmarble through the 1:1 Inquiry on the Solo Leveling: ARISE Bug Report page. Include a screenshot or video of the crash, the exact error text if one appears, your Windows version, your hardware, and a description of the steps you took before the crash. Detailed reports give support staff the best chance of identifying the cause. (Solo Leveling: ARISE Bug Report)

Match the symptom to the first check
If you have a clear symptom, you can start at the step most likely to address it instead of working down the full list.
| What you see | Start with |
|---|---|
| A notice about a server or game problem on the official community site | Known Issues notice (before any local change) |
| Stalls at “Preparing to Launch” in Steam | Restart, then verify game files (steps 1 and 5) |
| A popup naming DirectX or Visual C++ Runtime | Launcher Settings, then Archive (step 6) |
| Crash after a fresh install on an older or budget system | Requirements check (step 7) |
| Crash that began after installing security, VPN, or download tools | Selective software test (step 4) |
| A crash with no matching message after every check | Report to Netmarble (step 8) |
What the sources do not establish
The published guidance does not give a crash rate or any statistic showing how often Solo Leveling: ARISE crashes on PC, and it does not identify a single cause. None of the steps has been shown to stop crashes in every case, and the vendor and platform pages describe them only as things to check. The Netmarble and Steam pages cited here are the basis for this article; they should be read as general support guidance rather than a guaranteed repair.
Because a crash can have several causes, the reliable path is to change one thing at a time and record the result. That makes it easier to report accurate details to Netmarble if the problem continues.
