The reported ban concerned a separate subreddit—not r/Pragmata, the main Pragmata community. The public reporting gives the stated rule, but not a case-specific explanation from a named Reddit official.
Which Pragmata subreddit was banned?
The community reported banned was r/Pragmata_, with an underscore. It was not r/Pragmata. Kotaku’s February 18, 2026 report and The Escapist’s February 19 coverage distinguish the communities and describe a moderation dispute in the main subreddit before other communities formed. Kotaku’s report and The Escapist’s report provide the public account of those events.
Why was r/Pragmata_ banned?
Kotaku reported that Reddit banned r/Pragmata_ for breaking Rule 4. Reddit’s platform-wide policy says: “Do not share or encourage the sharing of sexual, abusive, or suggestive content involving minors. Any predatory or inappropriate behavior involving a minor is also strictly prohibited.” The policy also identifies banning communities as an enforcement option. Reddit’s Content Policy states the rule; the case-specific connection to r/Pragmata_ comes from the news report.
That distinction matters: Reddit’s published rule explains what the platform prohibits, while the reporting links the ban to that rule. The sources reviewed do not include a case-specific notice or a named Reddit official’s account of what material was examined. There is no public basis here to claim access to the full enforcement record or to describe particular posts in detail.

These are reports about the communities and their moderation—not evidence that every member, Pragmata player, or fan engaged in the conduct described.
Capcom describes Diana as an android girl in PRAGMATA, a science-fiction action-adventure set in a near-future lunar world. The company’s game information does not state her exact age, so a specific numeric age should not be treated as confirmed from that material. Capcom’s PRAGMATA site provides the company’s description of the game and character.

How the events fit together
- February 18, 2026: Kotaku reported the r/Pragmata_ ban and linked it to Reddit Rule 4.
- February 19, 2026: The Escapist covered the separate communities and reported on efforts by r/Pragmata moderators to curb sexualized discussion of Diana.
- Reddit’s standing policy: Rule 4 prohibits sexual, abusive, or suggestive content involving minors and allows community-level enforcement, including bans.
The timeline supports a distinction between platform enforcement and subreddit moderation: Reddit’s Rule 4 is a platform-wide policy; the reported efforts by r/Pragmata moderators were decisions within a separate community.
