Toronto Ultra forfeited its Call of Duty League series against Boston Breach on April 5, 2025, during the third map. The official match record lists Boston as the 3–0 winner; Insider Gaming reported that the teams had endured a long interruption and that Toronto players were rubber-banding across the map.
What happened in Toronto Ultra’s match against Boston Breach?
The official CDL match record dates the series to April 5, 2025, and records Boston Breach winning 3–0. The first three map entries are:
| Map | Mode | Recorded score |
|---|---|---|
| Skyline | Hardpoint | Boston 250–113 |
| Dealership | Search & Destroy | Boston 6–4 |
| Vault | Control | Boston 3–0 |
The record also displays two additional map slots without results. It therefore supports the 3–0 series outcome, not a claim that five maps were played.
Why did Toronto forfeit, and what server problems were reported?
Insider Gaming’s April 6 report says the forfeit came during Control on Vault after players experienced server problems that made them “rubber band” across the map. The report describes an interruption of roughly 30 minutes before the match was called. That is the outlet’s account of the symptoms and sequence; the official match page records the result but does not provide a technical diagnosis.

What did Toronto players say about recurring issues?
Insider Gaming quoted Toronto player JoeDeceives saying the team and other teams had repeatedly encountered online server issues and had raised them with the league. He said: “we’ve brought it up to the league time and time again and nothing ever changes, if anything the responses get worse.” This is JoeDeceives’ allegation as reported by Insider Gaming, not an official league admission or independent confirmation of how the league handled prior reports.
Did the CDL confirm what caused the outage?
The reviewed sources do not establish a root cause for the server problems. They also do not establish that the league formally rejected a complaint or published a corrective-action decision. No incident-specific technical report or ruling appears in the reviewed match record or Insider Gaming report, so the cause and any league response remain unconfirmed here.

Activision’s general matchmaking explainer, published April 4, 2024, describes Call of Duty matchmaking as using a client-server model and notes that the time information takes to travel between a player’s client and a data center affects how a match feels. That background helps explain why connectivity delays can disrupt play, but it does not identify what happened in this CDL match or show that consumer equipment caused the interruption.
