Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot reportedly told an investor that Watch Dogs is not expected to be placed in one of the company’s Creative Houses for now, before it is “potentially remade.” That wording describes a possibility, not an announced remake. The same annual-meeting remarks reportedly called Watch Dogs an important brand for Ubisoft’s future.
What Ubisoft reportedly said about Watch Dogs
At Ubisoft’s annual meeting, an investor reportedly asked why Watch Dogs was absent from the company’s Creative Houses. Insider Gaming reported Guillemot’s answer in English translation: “It’s not expected to [be] put in a creative house for the moment before it’s potentially remade.” The outlet also reported his characterization of the series as “still a brand that we consider to be an important brand for the future.” Insider Gaming’s account and GamesRadar+’s coverage both report the future-importance comment.

What Ubisoft’s Creative Houses do
Ubisoft describes its Creative Houses as five development organizations arranged around brands with related genres and player experiences. Why Watch Dogs is reportedly not assigned to one
The annual-meeting coverage gives two parts of the reported explanation: Watch Dogs has not been prioritized alongside other Ubisoft brands, and it uses an engine different from Anvil and Snowdrop. Those points help explain the reported absence from the current House structure; they do not establish a formal decision to cancel the franchise or a plan to move it later. Does this mean Ubisoft is remaking Watch Dogs?
No remake was confirmed. “Potentially remade” is conditional language: the report does not say Ubisoft has approved a remake, begun development, assigned a team, or set a release date. Calling Watch Dogs important to the company’s future signals continued brand relevance in the reported remarks, but does not specify what Ubisoft will do with it.

What is known about Ubisoft studio involvement
Ubisoft Paris says it has worked on Watch Dogs, documenting historical involvement rather than a current assignment to develop a new game. Its studio profile should not be read as confirmation that the studio is responsible for a remake or any other current Watch Dogs project.
