Read the wording on the Roblox screen first. Then follow the section below that matches it. Do not repeatedly request codes or enter older codes: a newer request can make an earlier code unusable, and some requests may temporarily stop working after repeated attempts.

First, identify which Roblox code you need

If Roblox is supposed to email the six-digit code
Work through these checks in order:
- Confirm the account email. Enter the email exactly as it appears on the Roblox account. A recovery email must be the address currently associated with the account; an address that merely looks similar will not receive that account’s code.
- Search the entire mailbox. Search for “Roblox,” then check Spam, Junk, Promotions, Social, blocked-sender lists, filters, and any quarantine folder managed by your email provider or school/work administrator.
- Allow Roblox mail. For email 2-step verification, add
[email protected]to your contacts or allowed-sender list. Roblox also identifies[email protected]for verification messages. Check that your mailbox is not full and that an email rule is not automatically deleting or moving the message. - Use Resend Code or Start Over once. Wait for the new message rather than requesting many codes in quick succession. If a one-time-login request has temporarily stopped responding, wait before trying again.
- Use only the newest code. Do not continue entering a code from an earlier email after requesting another one. Email 2-step-verification codes expire after 15 minutes. A code can also stop working after it has been entered incorrectly for that account.
Email one-time login codes
The “Email Me a One-Time Code” feature is available only to some Roblox users and requires a verified email address. When the message arrives, enter the code on the same device from which you requested it. If it does not arrive, verify the address, check every mailbox folder, select Resend, and then wait rather than repeatedly submitting new requests.

Email 2-step-verification codes
Email 2-step verification is a different flow from one-time login. Check that you are looking at the inbox for the account currently being challenged, allow [email protected], and use Resend Code or Start Over. If the code is more than 15 minutes old, request a new one.
If Roblox is supposed to send the code to your phone
Phone verification is available only in select countries. Depending on the flow and location, Roblox may send the one-time code by SMS or WhatsApp. Checking only your text-message inbox can therefore miss the code.
- Confirm that the country or region selected on the Roblox screen is correct.
- Enter the exact phone number associated with the Roblox account, including the correct country code.
- Check both your SMS messages and WhatsApp.
- Make sure the phone can receive messages, has signal or an internet connection for WhatsApp, and is not filtering or blocking the delivery.
- Use the verification or recovery screen’s new-code option once, then wait. Avoid requesting several codes and entering them out of order.
If the number is not the one attached to the account, or phone verification is unavailable in your country, a phone-code request will not solve the login problem. Use another recovery method already configured on the account or contact Roblox Support.
If you are waiting for an authenticator-app code
Roblox does not send an authenticator-app code by email or SMS. Open the authenticator app that was configured for the Roblox account and enter the code currently displayed there. Authenticator codes change regularly, so an earlier code may no longer work by the time you submit it.

If the current code is rejected, check that your device’s date and time are set automatically, then try another verification method already configured on the account. If you no longer have the phone or authenticator installation that generated the codes, use a backup code, passkey, security key, second-device approval, or another available recovery route.
Try another way to verify the account
The missing code may not be the only way into the account. Depending on what was configured beforehand, Roblox may offer one of these alternatives:
- Password login: Use the account password if the challenge is optional or appears only on a particular device.
- Backup code: Use an unused backup code saved when 2-step verification was configured. Treat backup codes like passwords and never send them to another person.
- Authenticator app: Generate a current code locally instead of waiting for email or SMS.
- Second-device approval: Approve the sign-in from a device where the Roblox account is already logged in, if Roblox presents that option.
- Passkey or security key: Use a passkey or registered hardware security key when the account and device support it.
Enhanced Protection changes the available choices for some accounts. Under that setting, Roblox says email one-time passcodes and six-digit authenticator codes are disabled for 2-step-verification challenges. The account instead requires a passkey or hardware security key, while recovery still depends on methods such as a verified email address, verified phone number, or backup codes. If the screen specifically asks for a passkey or security key, requesting more email codes will not bypass that requirement.

If the code arrives but the page will not load, the Resend button does nothing, or Roblox repeatedly returns you to the same screen, troubleshoot the browser or app as well as delivery:

- Clear the browser’s cache and cookies for Roblox.
- Disable extensions or plugins temporarily, especially login, privacy, script-blocking, or content-filtering extensions.
- Update the browser or Roblox app.
- Try another supported browser, device, or network connection.
- Restart the device and retry once the login page is working normally.
Check Roblox’s official status page before assuming your account or email provider is the only cause. An operational status page cannot rule out a problem affecting one mailbox, carrier, country, device, or account, but it can reveal a broader Roblox incident.
When to contact Roblox Support
Contact Roblox Support if the correct email or phone number is configured, you have checked the relevant delivery channels, alternate methods are unavailable, and a fresh request still produces no usable code. Include enough detail for Support to distinguish an account problem from a delivery or device problem:
- Roblox username and the email address or phone number associated with the account
- The exact wording of the error or verification screen
- Whether the request was for email, SMS, WhatsApp, an authenticator app, a passkey, or a second device
- Device model and operating-system version
- Browser name and version, or Roblox app version where relevant
- The page or screen where the problem occurs
- Which steps you already tried and whether any code arrived but failed
- Recent changes to the device, network, email account, phone number, or security settings
Roblox may need to verify account ownership. The first email address ever added to the account or the billing email used for the first payment may help with that process, but neither guarantees recovery.
Do not give the code to anyone
Never share your Roblox password, six-digit code, authenticator code, backup code, browser cookie, or remote access with another person. Roblox says it will not contact you to request a one-time code. If you receive an unsolicited code, do not use or disclose it. Repeated unsolicited codes can mean that someone is attempting to access the account; change the account email and enable authenticator-app 2-step verification where applicable.

Do not install “Roblox code generators,” unofficial login tools, suspicious browser extensions, or remote-access software offered by strangers. These tools can steal account credentials or browser sessions and cannot legitimately generate a Roblox login code.

A registered passkey or physical security key can provide an alternate, phishing-resistant sign-in method, but it is not a fix for a missing email, SMS, or WhatsApp message. It must be registered while you still have access to the Roblox account, and you should retain backup recovery methods in case the key is lost.
Roblox names the YubiKey 5 and Google Titan Security Key as examples of physical security keys. If you choose a security key for 2FA, confirm that the specific model, device, browser, and Roblox security flow support the passkey or security-key method you intend to use. Register a backup key or preserve backup codes where possible.

Where does Roblox send a phone verification code?
A phone code may arrive by SMS or WhatsApp, depending on the flow and location. Check both, confirm the exact account phone number and country code, and make sure phone verification is supported in your country.
Does Roblox send authenticator codes by email or SMS?
No. An authenticator-app code is generated inside the authenticator app. Enter the current code shown there rather than waiting for an email or text message.
What can I do if my Roblox code never arrives?
Try a backup code, authenticator app, second-device approval, passkey, or registered hardware security key if one is available. If no alternate method works, contact Roblox Support with the username, exact error, device details, and recovery information.

Will Roblox Support ask me for my six-digit code?
