What the missing blueprint usually means
The reward is not delivered as a physical item or a code that you enter on a retailer’s website. It is a digital entitlement tied to the Activision account relationship between Modern Warfare 4 and Call of Duty: Mobile. The item is the ICR-1 “Shattered Relay” weapon blueprint.

The official promotion says delivery begins October 30, 2026 and is scheduled to finish by November 30, 2026. That makes the date you check important: a missing blueprint before the end of that distribution window is not, by itself, proof that your preorder failed. The promotion also sets December 31, 2026 as the final date for missing-item claims.
The complete official terms are in Call of Duty’s October 12, 2026 announcement. Use that announcement for the promotion rules; older account-linking instructions are useful for navigation but do not replace the 2026 terms.

Eligibility: four checks that must line up
Before troubleshooting the app, verify each condition below. The promotion treats these as separate requirements, so passing one does not prove that the others are satisfied.

The account requirement is the most common point of confusion. The announcement states: “Please note that to receive the ‘Shattered Relay’ Weapon Blueprint in Call of Duty: Mobile, the Activision account used to log into Call of Duty must be the same account linked to your Call of Duty: Mobile app.” A different account on either side can prevent the entitlement from appearing even when the preorder itself was eligible.
How the promotion’s delivery sequence works
- Link Call of Duty: Mobile to an Activision account. Do this before checking for the reward and use the account you intend to use in Modern Warfare 4.
- Preorder a qualifying digital edition by October 23, 2026. Standard Edition and Vault Edition are specifically included in the announcement.
- Log into Modern Warfare 4 on launch day, October 23. This is an explicit step in the stated sequence, not merely a recommendation to own the game.
- Wait for the phased rollout. Delivery begins October 30 and is scheduled to run through November 30, 2026.
- Open the Call of Duty: Mobile in-game mailbox. The blueprint is redeemed there after it arrives.
- Escalate only after the stated window if necessary. An eligible player who still lacks the item after November 30 should contact Activision Support, with a December 31 claim deadline.
This sequence explains why checking the mailbox immediately after buying the game may show nothing: the promotion does not promise same-day delivery, and the rollout starts a week after the October 23 launch date.
Check or repair the Call of Duty: Mobile account link
Activision’s account-linking walkthrough was published in January 2020, so labels and screen layouts may have changed. For an existing Call of Duty: Mobile account
- Open Call of Duty: Mobile and open Settings.
- Tap the control for your linked social account or linked account settings.
- Choose Call of Duty.
- Sign in with the Activision account that you will use to log into Modern Warfare 4.
- Look for the app’s confirmation, described in the linking guide as a “Login successful” message.
The important result is not the wording of the confirmation but the identity of the account connected to COD Mobile. If you have more than one Activision account, record which one you used rather than assuming that the account currently open in a browser or on another device is the same.
For a guest Call of Duty: Mobile account
- Open Call of Duty: Mobile and go to Settings.
- Choose Call of Duty from the available account options.
- Sign in to the Activision account intended for Modern Warfare 4.
- Wait for the successful-login confirmation before leaving the account screen.
Account screens can change with app updates. If a label is in a different location, use the current in-game account and linking prompts rather than treating the 2020 screenshots as an exact interface map.
How to verify that the accounts really match
- Identify the Activision account used when you log into Modern Warfare 4.
- In Call of Duty: Mobile, identify the Call of Duty account shown under the linked-account controls.
- Check that both refer to the same Activision account, not merely the same console, mobile device, email provider, or retailer.
- If the accounts differ, sign into COD Mobile with the account used for Modern Warfare 4, following the current prompts in Settings.
Do not infer a match from ownership of the game alone. The promotion’s wording is account-specific: the account used to log into Call of Duty must be the one linked to the mobile app.

Once the entitlement reaches your account, open Call of Duty: Mobile and check the in-game mailbox. The promotion directs players to redeem the blueprint there. A successful preorder does not mean the item will appear in a Modern Warfare 4 menu, a retailer account, or a general Activision web inventory.

- Launch Call of Duty: Mobile while signed into the linked Activision account.
- Open the game’s mailbox or mail icon.
- Look for the Modern Warfare 4 preorder reward message.
- Open the message and use the in-game redeem or claim control shown there.
- Check the ICR-1 blueprint in your available weapon or loadout inventory.
If there is no message, first compare the current date with the October 30–November 30 delivery window. The mailbox is the destination for the reward, but it cannot display an entitlement that has not yet entered the phased rollout.
Troubleshoot by date and symptom
The reward is missing before October 30, 2026
This is still before the announced delivery start. Recheck the digital-edition and preorder-date requirements, make sure the same Activision account is linked, and complete the Modern Warfare 4 launch-day login when the game launches. There is no basis in the promotion for treating an earlier absence as a failed entitlement.
The reward is missing between October 30 and November 30
The rollout is phased, so delivery can occur at different times during this period. Confirm the account match and open the COD Mobile mailbox again after signing into the correct account. Keep your preorder evidence and account details available, but wait through November 30 before treating the delay as outside the announced schedule.

The reward is missing after November 30
At this point, compare your situation against every eligibility condition: qualifying digital edition, preorder by October 23, Modern Warfare 4 login on launch day, and the same Activision account linked to COD Mobile. If all four are satisfied and the blueprint is still absent, contact Activision Support rather than trying unlisted repairs.

You are approaching December 31
December 31, 2026 is the stated deadline for missing-item claims. Do not postpone an unresolved case until after that date. The official Activision Support portal includes Call of Duty: Mobile among its game options and provides a route to submit a support case.
The mailbox is empty even though another account has the game
Ownership on a different account does not satisfy the same-account rule. Sign into COD Mobile with the Activision account used for Modern Warfare 4, then check the mailbox while that account is active. If you cannot establish which account was used, explain the uncertainty to Activision Support instead of repeatedly changing accounts and assuming the entitlement will transfer.

- Do not buy accessories or merchandise. A controller, phone accessory, or collectible has no stated connection to account linking or blueprint delivery.
- Do not treat a reinstall as an entitlement fix. The documented resolution is to verify the account relationship, mailbox, delivery dates, and support deadline.
- Do not assume a second Activision account can be merged for this reward. The promotion requires the same account; it does not describe an account-transfer procedure.
These cautions matter because changing the app or buying another product can consume time without addressing the condition that controls delivery: the account used for Modern Warfare 4 must be the one linked to COD Mobile.

What to include in an Activision Support case
Support can investigate an account-specific entitlement, but your case is easier to assess when it states the relevant facts in one place. Submit the case through the official support portal and include:
- The Activision account used to log into Modern Warfare 4.
- Confirmation that the same account is linked to Call of Duty: Mobile, or a clear description of where the account identities differ.
- The Modern Warfare 4 edition purchased and whether it was digital.
- The preorder date, especially whether it was on or before October 23, 2026.
- Whether you logged into Modern Warfare 4 on October 23, 2026.
- The date you checked the COD Mobile in-game mailbox and whether a reward message appeared.
- Whether you are contacting support before the December 31, 2026 claim deadline.
Keep the purchase confirmation and relevant account information available for the support interaction, but do not post passwords or other sensitive credentials in a public forum. The support portal is the appropriate route for a persistent account or entitlement problem.
