Wild Zone 1 is an early-story area near Hotel Z, south of it by Vert Sector 8. It contains seven listed Pokémon, including Pichu in a small courtyard and Pidgey on rooftops. Where is Wild Zone 1, and when can you go?
Look south of Hotel Z, by Vert Sector 8. Wild Zone 1 is an early-game destination: Nintendo Life describes it as available from the start and visited during the story, while Serebii associates it with the beginning of Main Mission 3. The sources differ on the precise access phrasing, so treat it as an early-story area rather than relying on a specific mission trigger.
Nintendo Life gives level 5 as the recommended level for the zone. You can explore Wild Zones during the day or at night, according to The Pokémon Company’s game overview.
Which Pokémon appear in Wild Zone 1?
Nintendo Life lists seven Pokémon in the zone. Most are encountered at ground level; the notable exceptions are Pidgey on rooftops and Pichu in a courtyard. Serebii’s listings put Bunnelby and the smaller ground-level encounters around levels 3–5; ordinary Pidgey should not be confused with the separate high-level Alpha encounter.

How to find Pidgey and the Alpha Pidgey
Reach the rooftops
Pidgey is found on the rooftops. Nintendo Life says you need Rock Smash to reach them, so this is not an immediately accessible ground-level encounter.
Return for the guaranteed Alpha
The guaranteed Alpha Pidgey is on the right rooftop and is listed at level 26. Nintendo Life says Alpha encounters begin after you meet Emma and complete three Side Missions for her. This is a distinct encounter from ordinary Pidgey; the level 26 figure applies to the guaranteed Alpha, not every Pidgey in the zone.

Where to find Pichu
Search the small courtyard on the opposite side of the area from the main ground-level routes. Nintendo Life reports that Pichu has only one spawn point in Wild Zone 1, so check that courtyard rather than searching every patch of grass.

The Pokémon Company says you can try to catch a wild Pokémon by throwing a Poké Ball. If that does not work, battling to lower its HP can make it easier to catch. Some Pokémon flee when they notice you; hiding or approaching from behind can help. The official overview describes Alpha Pokémon as larger, red-eyed, powerful, and more difficult to catch. These are general Wild Zone mechanics, not a tested strategy for a particular Wild Zone 1 spawn.
