Avengers: Secret Wars has not been confirmed as the last Avengers movie. Marvel and Disney’s official materials reviewed name it as an upcoming Avengers film, but do not say the series will end with it—or confirm that another Avengers film will follow.
What Marvel has confirmed about Secret Wars
Marvel’s June 13, 2023 schedule update moved Avengers: Secret Wars to May 7, 2027. Disney’s 2025 announcement also listed that date and named Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars as upcoming films. Neither announcement describes Secret Wars as the final Avengers movie. See Marvel’s schedule update and Disney/D23’s announcement.
May 7, 2027 is the latest official date located in those announcements, not a guarantee that the date is still current. Release schedules can change, so check Marvel or Disney’s current listings before making plans.
Does Endgame being a “grand conclusion” mean this is the end?
No. Marvel’s official Avengers: Endgame page calls that film a “grand conclusion to twenty-two films.” That description refers to Endgame and the story arc it concluded; it does not announce the ending of the Avengers film series after a movie Marvel announced later.

Director Joe Russo similarly said of Endgame: “When we made that film, we were so specifically committed to that movie as an ending of stories, not a beginning of new stories.” Disney presented the comment in its discussion of Endgame, not as a statement about Secret Wars or the future of Avengers films. What the announced release order does—and does not—tell us
Disney’s official Avengers: Doomsday page lists December 18, 2026. That places Doomsday before the latest official Secret Wars date located here, but a two-film sequence does not establish whether Marvel will make more Avengers movies afterward.

The official materials reviewed do not confirm another Avengers film after Secret Wars, either. The accurate answer is therefore unresolved: Marvel has announced the film, but has not said in these materials that it is the franchise’s final Avengers movie or that another one is planned after it.

Marvel’s catalog lists a hardcover omnibus collecting Jonathan Hickman’s Avengers (2012) #35–44, New Avengers (2013) #24–33, Secret Wars (2015) #1–9, and related material. It is a comic-reading companion for readers interested in the source-story background—not a confirmed screenplay, novelization, or official movie tie-in. See Marvel’s comics catalog.
