Which platforms are announced for GTA 6?
Rockstar’s official GTA VI page lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Take-Two’s FY2027 first-quarter release lineup lists the same platforms and gives November 19, 2026 as the release date. The date is the currently announced schedule, not a guarantee that it cannot change.
In a June 24, 2026 pre-order announcement, Rockstar described the game as “a single player experience, coming November 19 to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.” That announcement also names no PC version.
Is a PC version confirmed?
No. As of October 7, 2026, the official platform listings reviewed name only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The accurate answer is that GTA 6 has not been announced for PC—not that Rockstar has said it will never come to PC.

There is no official PC release date or release window in those listings. Online predictions about when a port might arrive should not be treated as an announcement.
Does Take-Two’s PC strategy mean GTA 6 is coming to PC?
No. PC Gamer reported that Take-Two chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick discussed the company’s broad platform strategy at its September 2026 annual shareholders meeting: “The strategy of the company is over time, generally speaking, to launch for any platforms for which there’s a meaningful audience. But that isn’t always the case, and certainly, if platforms were no longer viable, we could change that strategy.” This is general company context, not confirmation of a GTA 6 PC version or timing.

What can you play at the announced launch?
The confirmed launch choices are PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. If you already own one, that is the straightforward option; if you are choosing between them, weigh your existing game library and ecosystem, preferred controller, local availability, and the total cost of the console and game. The official platform information does not establish a technical performance winner between the two.
Is the physical version a disc?
No. Rockstar Support’s platforms, editions, and versions page says the physical version contains a download code for the digital game. It should not be described as a disc edition.

Platform plans and release dates can change. For an authoritative update, check Rockstar’s GTA VI page and Take-Two’s investor announcements rather than relying on an unsourced date prediction.
