They do document moderation of accounts and content, including suspensions and terminations. That does not prove Roblox never considers network signals; it means you should not assume an account action—or a connection error—is an IP ban without a notice saying so.
What Roblox’s published moderation rules say
Roblox describes consequences that can include warnings, content removal, and restrictions on a Roblox account. Its moderation overview says decisions may take into account the severity and impact of a violation, the specific violation, and a user’s history; repeated violations may lead to stronger consequences. Roblox’s Community Standards and moderation consequences describe those actions.

Roblox’s Terms of Use also describe suspending or terminating accounts and restricting access. The public materials cited here do not say an IP address alone results in a ban, nor do they publish a complete technical explanation of the signals used to enforce rules. So it is accurate to say that a routine IP-ban policy is not established in these documents—not that network-level restrictions are impossible or that Roblox never considers network information.
How to tell what kind of restriction you may be facing
Use the wording and scope of the Roblox notice, rather than a connection problem, to identify the action. The published sources do not provide a definitive user-facing test for every network, device, or experience restriction.

- Deck out your avatar and unlock additional perks in your favorite experiences when you use Roblox Gift Cards to purchase Robux (Roblox's virtual currency).
- Each gift card grants a free virtual item upon redemption.
- Account: Check whether the notice says a particular account is suspended, terminated, or otherwise restricted. These are documented moderation outcomes, and eligible actions may be appealed.
- Content: If the notice identifies content removal or moderation, follow the appeal route shown for that action.
- Experience: If access trouble is limited to one experience, do not treat that alone as proof of a Roblox-wide IP ban. The sources here do not establish a diagnostic method for every experience-specific restriction.
- Network or device: Look for an explicit network or device restriction in the notice. Trouble affecting multiple users or accounts on the same connection is not, by itself, proof of an IP ban; Roblox’s public materials do not give a conclusive test for one.
How to appeal an eligible Roblox moderation action
- Read the moderation notification. It identifies the appeal route available for that action.
- Use the route in the notice or Roblox Support. Submit through the Violations & Appeals link in the notification, or use the Roblox Support form when directed.
- Include the account details and explanation. For an account appeal, Roblox asks for the username and a brief statement explaining why the decision should be reviewed. Only the account owner may appeal.
- Submit within the applicable deadline, and avoid duplicates. Roblox’s appeal guidance gives a general deadline of 30 days from the moderation action; users in the EU have six months to appeal an initial moderation action. Roblox says duplicate appeals for the same action will not be reviewed.
An appeal is a request for review, not a promise of reinstatement: Roblox states, “Submitting an appeal does not guarantee the consequence will be removed.”

If you suspect the issue involves a modified app, use Roblox’s official, unmodified app. Roblox warns that modified versions violate its rules and can lead to account action, including temporary suspension or a permanent ban for repeated violations. Its published appeal guidance recommends the appeals process; it does not identify a VPN, proxy, or switching networks as a remedy. Trying to route around a moderation action is not a substitute for appealing it.
