Valve’s official pages do not list a brick-and-mortar retail chain. That does not rule out an independent shop or reseller carrying a unit, so check a specific store’s live listing before making a trip.
Where Valve says to buy Steam Deck
Valve’s FAQ says Steam Deck is available directly via Steam in the US, Canada, the UK and EU, and that Valve is working with Komodo to sell it in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. The FAQ describes these sales channels but does not identify a physical-store network.
Valve’s product page lists Steam Deck LCD and Steam Deck OLED configurations and links buyers to Steam or Komodo. It is an official purchase route, not a directory of local retailers.
Can you buy one from a physical retailer?
Valve’s published pages do not establish that a named retail chain sells Steam Deck in stores. They also do not prove that no independent retailer or reseller ever carries one. Availability at a particular shop is a separate question: check its current listing, seller identity and local inventory rather than assuming that an online marketplace listing means the product is on a nearby shelf.

Check these details before buying from a third party
- Model and storage: Confirm whether the listing is for Steam Deck LCD or OLED and check the stated storage configuration.
- Seller: Verify which business is actually selling the unit; a marketplace platform and the individual seller may be different.
- Availability: Confirm whether it is physically in stock for pickup or will be shipped. An online listing alone does not confirm local inventory.
- Returns and warranty: Read the seller’s current terms before paying. Valve’s official pages reviewed here do not establish third-party return or warranty policies.
Is Steam Deck in stock right now?
Stock can change, so use the live Steam or Komodo purchase page for the relevant region to check availability. Valve reported on May 27, 2026, that Steam Deck OLED was back in stock and that prices had changed. That dated update describes availability at that time; it is not a guarantee of present stock or evidence of a store launch.

Buying a new console and getting it repaired are different matters. Valve’s FAQ says replacement parts and repair guides are available through iFixit; that does not mean iFixit or a physical retailer is an official store for new Steam Deck units. Valve also describes microSD storage expansion and its Steam Deck Docking Station on the product page, but neither is required to answer where the handheld is sold.
