“Will Super People be playable again from June 19?” June 19 was the start of a limited global closed beta test in 2025—not a permanent return. That test ended June 29, 2025, and Wonder People’s later Early Access service shut down on February 23, 2026. As of October 8, 2026, a separate community project says it has made the game playable again, but its revival is unofficial and uses a 2022 version of the game.
What did June 19 mean for Super People?
The date marked the start of SUPER PEOPLE’s global closed beta test (CBT) in 2025. The official announcement said the test would end June 29 at 8:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time and that player data would be reset when it ended. It was a time-limited test, not an ongoing relaunch. SUPER PEOPLE’s official Steam announcement said the development team promised to “return stronger, better—and ready to meet you again.” That was a statement made as the CBT ended, not confirmation that the official game would remain online.
What happened to the official game after the beta?
| Date | Event |
|---|---|
| June 19, 2025 | The global CBT began. |
| June 29, 2025 | The CBT ended at 8:00 PM PDT; player data was to be reset. |
| September 12, 2025 | Wonder People announced an Early Access return. |
| September 19, 2025 | The announced Steam Early Access release date. |
| November 6, 2025 | An initial service notice set February 3, 2026 as the end date. |
| February 9, 2026 | A final notice revised the schedule. |
| February 23, 2026 | The final announced end of Early Access service and server shutdown. |
Wonder People’s Early Access announcement gave September 19, 2025 as the release date. For the shutdown, the final official service notice supersedes the earlier February 3 schedule: the final notice set February 23, 2026 as the end of service and server shutdown.
Can you play Super People now?
As of October 8, 2026, a community-led project describes an unofficial revival at superpeople.dev. The project says it rebuilt the backend—including login, lobby, and game servers—and provides a launcher. This is a separate community effort, not the return of Wonder People’s official live service.

The project’s FAQ says its launcher can obtain compatible game files from Internet Archive and temporarily changes a Windows hosts-file entry so the client connects to the community backend. Those are the project’s own descriptions of how its launcher works; they are not an independent security audit.
How the community revival differs from the official release
| Official Early Access | Community revival | |
|---|---|---|
| Operator | Wonder People | Community-led project |
| Client | 2025 Early Access version | Project says it uses version 1.3.0.473797 from 2022, not the 2025 re-release. |
| Availability | Service and servers shut down February 23, 2026, according to the final official notice. | Project FAQ says its Europe and Asia servers are online. |
| Modes | Not applicable; official service has ended. | Project FAQ currently describes solo matches. |
The revival’s version, server locations, and available mode are project-reported details and may change. The project homepage also reports a peak of 47,392 concurrent players in 2022; that figure is the project’s attribution and is not independently verified here against an original Steam or publisher dataset.
