Will WARDOGS Give Players Cash and XP to Pick Blue in Season 2?

A player proposed cash and XP for picking Blue in WARDOGS, but Bulkhead’s Season 02 plans do not confirm the incentive.

There is no confirmation that WARDOGS will give players cash and XP for choosing Blue in Season 2. The idea comes from a player’s Steam discussion proposing a reward for joining the underfilled team; Bulkhead’s published Season 02 description does not mention it.

Where did the cash-and-XP idea come from?

A player in a Steam community discussion suggested giving players a reward for choosing the team with fewer players. The post proposed a “+2% exp and money boost” when a player joined the disadvantaged side. That figure is the poster’s suggestion, not an announced reward or a published game statistic. The thread frames the idea as an incentive to pick the losing or underfilled team. It does not establish that Bulkhead adopted the suggestion, that it will arrive in Season 2, or that any eventual reward would use the proposed percentage.

Why are players talking about Blue?

Blue is the Lonestar faction

WARDOGS has three factions, and Blue is Lonestar. A Wardogs Australia community guide says the factions share a vendor and guns, with no hidden stat bonus for choosing a colour. The guide also cautions that some of its figures came from closed playtests and may change, so it is community context rather than an official balance statement. See the Wardogs Australia faction guide.

Reports describe reluctance, not a measured game-wide trend

PC Gamer reported players avoiding Blue/Lonestar and described selection delays, including an account of a match waiting for enough players to choose Lonestar. The article draws on the writer’s observations, player anecdotes and community posts; it does not provide a representative measurement of faction choices across all servers. Read PC Gamer’s report.

What has Bulkhead actually said about Season 2?

The official WARDOGS Steam community update describes Season 02 as a planned larger content update with new map conditions, equipment, balance reworks and additional features. It does not name a Blue-team cash-and-XP bonus. Read the official Season 02 update.

GamesRadar+ quoted Bulkhead CEO Joe Brammer discussing Season 2 and asking players what issue they would change mid-season. That is a request for feedback, not confirmation of a team-population reward. Read GamesRadar+’s report.

What can players safely expect?

  • Confirmed: a player proposed cash and XP for choosing the underfilled side, with +2% offered as an example.
  • Not confirmed: that Bulkhead will implement the idea, that it will be part of Season 2, or what any reward would be.
  • Announced broadly: Season 02 is planned to include map conditions, equipment, balance reworks and additional features.

The available official material does not settle whether the proposal could be adopted later. Until Bulkhead names it in an announcement or patch notes, the cash-and-XP incentive remains a community suggestion—not a Season 2 feature players can count on.
