Nationally televised games and locally televised games involving your local team are blacked out live on League Pass. To find where a specific game is available, check the WNBA schedule for its broadcaster and confirm local restrictions with the ZIP-code lookup on the League Pass packages page. Availability depends on your location and the game’s broadcast rights.
Which option should you use?
| Option | What you can watch live | Availability limits | Replay access |
|---|---|---|---|
| WNBA League Pass | Out-of-market games | Local and national blackouts apply in the U.S. and Canada; availability depends on location and game rights. | In the U.S., nationally blacked-out games are available on demand at 6 a.m. ET the next day; locally blacked-out games become available shortly after the game. In Canada, nationally blacked-out games become available shortly after the game. |
| Local station, regional sports network, or local streaming partner | Local-team games when listed for your market | Varies by market, team, and game; check the schedule. | Check the distributor’s replay terms. |
| National TV or streaming distributor | Nationally scheduled games carried by that distributor | The carrier varies by game, season, and country. A partner’s involvement does not mean it carries every matchup. | Check the carrier’s terms. |
League Pass also offers full-length replays and a library of classic games. Its live exclusions reflect broadcasters’ rights: the WNBA Help Center says those providers have exclusive rights to televise certain games live. See the WNBA’s blackout explanation and replay timing.
How to find where a specific game is airing
- Open the current WNBA schedule and find the matchup and date.
- Check the listed broadcaster or streaming service for that game. National partners and fixtures can change, so do not infer a game’s carrier from the season’s overall partner list.
- If you plan to watch on League Pass in the U.S., use the ZIP-code lookup on the League Pass packages page to check local restrictions. The WNBA says blackout decisions use your current location; a ZIP code identifies the local-team footprint in the U.S.
- If the game is blacked out live, watch it on the listed local or national distributor. Check the replay timing below if you want to watch later on League Pass.
What League Pass blackouts mean
U.S. national broadcasts
Games shown nationally are not available live on League Pass in the U.S. The WNBA blackout help page lists ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, Disney+, CBS, Paramount+, NBC, Peacock, USA Network, and Amazon Prime Video among the national outlets. Check the schedule for the specific game and its carrier. A nationally blacked-out game becomes available on League Pass on demand at 6 a.m. Eastern Time the following day.
U.S. local broadcasts
A local-team game shown by a local station, regional sports network, or streaming partner is not available live on League Pass within the applicable market. Look up the game in the schedule for its local distributor. The League Pass replay becomes available shortly after the game ends.

Where to watch nationally televised games in 2026
In its April 22, 2026 schedule announcement, the WNBA said 216 of the season’s 330 regular-season games across 15 teams would be nationally distributed. The named partners were Disney (ABC and ESPN), Amazon Prime Video, CBS Sports/Paramount+, Scripps/ION, NBCUniversal (NBC, Peacock, and NBCSN), USA Sports (USA Network), and NBA TV. Those are season-level distribution details, not a guarantee that any one service carries a particular game in your market. Check the 2026 schedule announcement and the current game listing. The WNBA says Peacock streams all WNBA Finals games, with each also telecast on NBC or USA Network.

The WNBA lists its app for Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, and Android TV, as well as desktop viewing. A subscription purchased through Amazon Prime is watchable only on Amazon Prime platforms, according to the WNBA platform FAQ. Supported hardware does not remove a broadcast blackout: game access still depends on rights and location.
