If you want to solve it yourself first, use the clues below in order and stop before the answer reveal.
Hints for Wordle #1208
- The five-letter answer has one vowel.
- It contains repeated consonants, so do not rule out a letter just because you have already found it once.
- It is an informal word for someone’s mother, commonly used by young children.
How to work toward the answer
Wordle gives you six attempts to identify a five-letter word. After each guess, use the color feedback to narrow the possibilities: green means a letter is in the correct position, yellow means it appears elsewhere in the answer, and gray means it is absent.
- Keep green letters fixed in their confirmed positions and place yellow letters in different positions on later guesses.
- Use a follow-up guess to test useful letters you have not tried yet, while respecting the positions and exclusions established by earlier feedback.
- Consider repeated letters. A candidate can use a letter more than once, so a strategy that assumes five different letters may miss the answer.
These are general solving principles, not a verified guess sequence for this puzzle.
