Which fighting style is best for you?
There is no single best choice for every player. It also cautions that “Player skill, playstyle, and team composition can significantly impact effectiveness.” Use the ranking as a starting point, then choose around your intended activity and comfort with a style.

- For a high-ranked late-game option: Godhuman and Sanguine Art are the fan list’s S+ picks, but their progression gates are substantial.
- For PvP or PvE: The available ranking does not publish separate PvP and PvE results. Consider the moves and utility you value, and do not assume the tier order proves one style is best in either mode.
- For progression: Early styles have lower listed costs; advanced choices typically require mastery, quests, keys, or materials. Unlock requirements can matter more than a tier when deciding what to learn next.
- For a comfortable build: Familiarity and synergy with your other abilities can make a lower-ranked option more useful to you than an unfamiliar top-tier pick.

Unlock costs and progression requirements
The community-maintained wiki index says players start with Combat and lists 13 fighting styles. Its reported costs and gates show why the top of a tier list is not necessarily the most practical next step. Details are subject to in-game changes, so check the relevant teacher and requirements in your current game before committing.

The wiki index says mastery stays on a style when you switch and that previously obtained styles can be relearned without paying again. The Martial Arts Master page likewise describes Superhuman as a permanent purchase that can be relearned after switching. A separate guide contradicts itself about whether Combat can be relearned, so it does not resolve that point; check the live game rather than relying on that guide.
