How to use Wordle’s clues
Wordle gives you six guesses to find a hidden five-letter word. Each guess must be a valid word, and the tile colors show what to keep or change:

- Green: the letter is in the answer and in the correct position.
- Yellow: the letter is in the answer, but belongs in another position.
- Gray or black: the letter is not in the answer.
A useful approach is to begin with a word that tests several different vowels and consonants. For your next guess, try useful letters you have not tested yet, while avoiding letters already ruled out. This is practical guidance, not a guaranteed optimal strategy. Some Wordle answers can repeat letters, even though GAUNT does not.
