The World of Warcraft: Midnight Collector’s Edition is no longer available to pre-purchase in any way the evidence confirms. Midnight launched on March 2, 2026, and the official Blizzard Gear Store listing showed the box at $139.99 with a Sold Out status as of October 8, 2026. If you want the box, check the live listing and the named Australian and New Zealand retailers before assuming stock exists anywhere.
Can you still buy it, and for how much?
The Blizzard Gear Store listing for the Collector’s Edition shows a price of $139.99 and a Sold Out status. That is the state of the listing on the date it was checked, not a promise of a restock or a future release date. The listing does not show an active preorder, so treat any preorder claim you find elsewhere with caution until the seller confirms it.
Blizzard’s pre-purchase announcement introduced the bundle while Midnight was still ahead of launch. Its launch timing is worth reading precisely:
- The announcement said Midnight would be available on or before June 30, 2026.
- A later Blizzard launch notice set the launch for March 2, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. PST.
- The expansion has been live since that date, so any article or ad describing it as upcoming is out of date.
What is in the box
The Collector’s Edition is a physical bundle with a digital game key. It does not include a game disc, so you download the game and redeem the code.

Upgrading from a digital Midnight purchase
If you already bought a digital Midnight edition, Blizzard says you can receive Battle.net Balance equal to that qualifying purchase when you redeem the Collector’s Edition code by December 31, 2026. Two points matter here:
- Balance credit applies to the qualifying digital purchase, and it is tied to redeeming the Collector’s Edition code before the deadline.
- Box upgrades are not credited automatically. Blizzard directs those questions to customer support, so confirm current terms with support and keep your original purchase record.
