Epic’s current listing marks it “Coming Soon” for Windows; the developer has also said consoles and PC are planned, but no release date or specific console platforms are confirmed by the sources cited here.
What is Wu-Tang: Rise of the Deceiver?
Brass Lion Entertainment describes Wu-Tang: Rise of the Deceiver as a co-op action RPG set in a supernatural version of Shaolin. The Wu-Tang Clan entrusts a new generation of warriors with fantastical powers, and players fight the Deceiver’s forces while working to restore the community. Ghostface Killah calls on players to rescue his Wu brothers.
Epic categorizes the game as action, RPG, and rogue-lite. Game Informer’s June 2025 preview described it as a third-person action RPG and reported that the developers distinguished it from a beat-’em-up. The game was initially conceived as a tie-in to Angel of Dust, a supernatural thriller produced by Ghostface Killah and set to be directed by RZA under AOD Films; current official descriptions present the game on its own terms as well as retaining that connection. How do co-op and solo play work?
Epic lists fully supported three-player co-op, online multiplayer, and single-player support. It also describes a social hub in Shaolin. That establishes the listed player modes, but the available official material does not detail how mission progression or the Chambers change between solo and multiplayer.

What will players do in the Chambers?
The action moves between Shaolin and surreal dreamworld Chambers. Players battle fantastical enemies using powers associated with the Wu-Tang Clan, then collect Jewels to tailor their fighting style and outfits. Brass Lion’s site emphasizes customizable combat and iconic fits; Epic describes players creating custom fighters. The sources establish these customization categories but do not give a complete list of styles, outfits, or upgrade systems.
Game Informer’s June 4, 2025 preview described Shaolin as a fictional neighborhood styled with elements of New York boroughs, including Staten Island and Brooklyn. It also characterized the story as a remix of the Clan’s lives rather than a documentary, drawing on members’ books and interviews, podcasts, and the 2019 documentary Wu-Tang: Of Mics and Men. These are preview-era descriptions, not a guarantee of the final game’s content. The same preview called the adventure roughly 20 hours long and said it could be played online with up to three friends; neither runtime nor final implementation is established as a final specification. Does the game include Wu-Tang music?
Yes. Brass Lion says the game’s dynamic soundtrack will combine classic Wu-Tang songs with new material, with Just Blaze serving as the studio’s Director of Music and Culture. The developer’s June 2025 announcement describes an original music system that reacts to player actions and says Just Blaze produced remixed and remastered tracks. That supports an in-game music feature; it is not an announcement of a separate soundtrack album.
Brass Lion CCO Rashad Redic described the studio’s cultural perspective as central to its decisions: “The core DNA of who we are is very unique in the industry… That cultural spine influences the type of conversations we have, the type of decisions that are made about the game, and it all gets wrapped up and presented in something that feels really unique and authentic.” CEO Bryna Dabby Smith said of connecting the supernatural story with the group’s history, “Getting a chance to pull together the supernatural element that (the Angel of Dust franchise is) building with the history of the group and the legacy that they’ve got – it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity.” Both statements appeared in the developer’s June 18, 2025 press release. When does it come out, and what platforms are confirmed?
Epic’s store listing currently says “Coming Soon” and lists Windows. Brass Lion’s June 18, 2025 announcement said the game was coming to consoles and PC, but did not name individual consoles. The reviewed sources do not establish a launch date or confirm PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch versions.

Check the Epic Games Store listing for current availability and requirements. Brass Lion announced the game at Summer Game Fest 2025, and said the teaser was also shown during the Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber tour. Its press release reported that 53 developers and partners were working remotely across the US and Canada; that is a team-size figure, not a player count or game feature.
