WWE 2K22’s MyRISE is a career mode that takes a created Superstar from the Performance Center toward WWE stardom. You do not need to win every match to progress: follow the objective shown for each match, and some required matches can be retried after a loss. Before finalizing your MyPLAYER, choose body type, weight class, height, and background carefully; a secondary gameplay guide says those choices are locked afterward.
What is MyRISE in WWE 2K22?
2K describes MyRISE as a journey from rookie training at the WWE Performance Center through the challenge of becoming a Superstar and, ultimately, a WWE Legend. It offers separate storylines for the men’s and women’s divisions, rather than one shared campaign. 2K’s March 2, 2022 announcement and WWE’s feature overview establish that premise.

You begin at the Performance Center, where the opening section also serves as an extended tutorial, according to TheSmackDownHotel’s gameplay guide. Progress takes you among the Performance Center, NXT, SmackDown, and RAW. The guide says movement between the main brands follows progression messages, and reports more than 60 distinct stories; that count is a secondary-source estimate, not an official 2K figure.
What should you decide before creating your MyPLAYER?
Make the physical and background choices with care before confirming your character. TheSmackDownHotel guide reports that body type, weight class, height, and background cannot be changed after the MyPLAYER is finalized. It says attire, face, and other aspects can be edited later.

The same guide says background can affect some stories and dialogue. Since the available sources do not map every background to every branch, treat it as a role-playing choice rather than a guaranteed route to a particular reward.
How do Face and Heel choices affect MyRISE?
You select an initial alignment—Face or Heel—but the choice is not necessarily permanent. TheSmackDownHotel guide says alignment can change through conversations with the General Manager and through some challenge matches or storylines.

Spot choices that affect alignment
When dialogue options display red or green symbols, the guide identifies those markers as indicating an alignment effect. It reports that unmarked choices do not change alignment. Read the prompt and marker before choosing; not every conversation changes your character’s standing.
Handle branching story choices
Some storylines offer a choice between paths, and the guide notes that a defer option may appear. Use it if you want to explore other content before committing. Do not assume every branch can later be reversed: ordinary alignment changes and a specific story decision are not the same thing.
Do you have to win every MyRISE match?
No. TheSmackDownHotel guide reports that winning is not always required and that some required matches allow a rematch after a loss. Follow the objective displayed for the individual match rather than treating an undefeated record as a requirement.
- For an objective labeled “Attempt” or “Try,” the guide says an alternate outcome may be possible.
- Some matches without a visible objective may chiefly affect later messages, according to the guide.
- If you lose a required match, check whether the game offers a rematch; the guide says this applies to some, not all, such matches.
These are reported behaviors, not a guarantee for every encounter. The on-screen objective and the game’s response to your result are the most useful cues for the match you are playing.

How do you unlock MyRISE rewards?
Complete the relevant MyRISE content to earn rewards tied to the mode. The WWE 2K22 unlockables reference lists hidden Superstars, arenas, and championships among content earned through MyRISE and 2K Showcase. It also says the Supercharger can unlock VC purchasables, but does not unlock MyRISE or Showcase rewards; those still require completing the relevant matches or content.
The available unlockables reference does not establish every MyRISE story trigger in a complete, independently checked list. For that reason, this guide cannot reliably name an exact story choice or match for every individual reward, nor promise that all rewards can be earned in one run. Use the in-game progression and reward indications, and complete the relevant mode content rather than relying on the Supercharger.
