El Grande Americano replaced the unannounced celebrity guest originally advertised for WWE 2K25’s New Wave Pack. 2K later confirmed that the character joined the roster for players who own the pack.
Who replaced the missing WWE 2K25 DLC celebrity?
The replacement is El Grande Americano. In a July 14, 2025 report, WrestleTalk quoted 2K as saying, “El Grande Americano will replace the New Wave Pack’s celebrity guest.” WrestleTalk’s report gave September 2025 as the planned availability window.

What was the New Wave Pack supposed to include?
The New Wave Pack was WWE 2K25’s first DLC pack. 2K’s original announcement named Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley of the Motor City Machine Guns, Giulia, and Stephanie Vaquer, and previewed a fifth playable character as a special guest to be revealed later. It also advertised more than 40 moves and taunts. 2K’s New Wave Pack report documents that original lineup.

The celebrity guest was not part of the pack’s original released contents. The July 2025 announcement named El Grande Americano as the replacement for that slot.
Who could get El Grande Americano?
2K’s later confirmation specifically says the character is available to New Wave Pack owners. In the July 2025 report, WrestleTalk quoted 2K saying he would be automatically entitled to players who owned the New Wave Pack, Season Pass, Ringside Pass, Deadman Edition, or Bloodline Edition. That broader list is the eligibility wording reported at the time; check the current platform store and your edition’s entitlements before relying on it for a purchase.
