Xbox Black Friday 2025 is over. The event fell on Friday, November 28, 2025, and its advertised prices and promotions are not current as of August 12, 2026. Xbox’s U.S. promotion featured up to 75% off select Xbox digital games, up to 85% off select PC games, more than 2,000 games in the promotion, selected accessory discounts, and a historical $1 Game Pass offer for qualifying new subscribers.
Xbox’s main U.S. Black Friday promotion was primarily a digital-games and accessories event. Xbox advertised savings of up to 75% on select Xbox digital games, up to 85% on select PC games, and discounts on select Xbox wireless accessories. The Xbox announcement said the game promotion covered more than 2,000 games, but that does not mean every game received the same discount—or even that every title was discounted by 75%.
The official Xbox Wire announcement was published on November 20, 2025. Its named examples included Fallout 76 at 75% off, EA Sports Madden NFL 26 at 50% off, NBA 2K26 Standard Edition at 55% off, Hogwarts Legacy at 85% off, and Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition at 50% off. Xbox also promoted a $1 introductory Game Pass offer for qualifying new subscribers, select controllers and headsets, and free engraving on new Xbox Design Lab controller purchases during a separate promotional window.
What Xbox offered for Black Friday 2025
| Category | Advertised offer | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Xbox digital games | Up to 75% off select titles | Xbox said the promotion included more than 2,000 games; discounts varied by title. |
| PC games | Up to 85% off select titles | This was a separate PC-games saving claim within the Xbox promotion. |
| Game Pass | $1 for 14 days for qualifying new subscribers | The advertised terms then changed to $14.99 per month unless canceled. The offer was eligibility-restricted and has expired. |
| Wireless accessories | Discounts on select Xbox Wireless Controllers and Xbox wireless headsets | Xbox did not present the announcement as a discount on every accessory or every configuration. |
| Xbox Design Lab | Free engraving on new controller purchases | The personalization promotion ran from November 27 through December 12, 2025. It was not a general price reduction. |
Best named Xbox game deals from the 2025 announcement
The following are the specific examples Xbox highlighted in its November 20 announcement. They are useful as a record of the sale, not as current prices. Where the announcement named an edition, the edition is included; where it did not, this table does not guess at one.

| Game | Edition or platform detail stated in the announcement | Advertised discount |
|---|---|---|
| Fallout 76 | No specific edition stated in the cited example | 75% off |
| EA Sports Madden NFL 26 | No specific edition stated in the cited example | 50% off |
| NBA 2K26 | Standard Edition | 55% off |
| Hogwarts Legacy | No specific edition stated in the cited example | 85% off |
| Forza Horizon 5 | Standard Edition | 50% off |
Xbox separately highlighted newer releases and other featured titles at smaller discounts: 20% off Ninja Gaiden 4 Standard Edition, 20% off The Outer Worlds 2 Standard Edition, 20% off Ready or Not, 20% off Borderlands 4, and 15% off Battlefield 6.
The announcement also called out several Game Awards nominees and featured releases: 20% off Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Deluxe Edition, 50% off DOOM: The Dark Ages Premium Edition, 30% off Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, 50% off EA Sports FC 26, and 40% off Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
These percentages describe the advertised discount against the applicable listing price during the event. They should not be used to reconstruct a current price, and a different edition, bundle, platform listing, or regional storefront could have had different terms.
When did the Xbox Black Friday sale end?
There are two dates to keep separate:
- Xbox game promotion: Xbox Wire said the digital Xbox game offers ran from November 20 through December 3, 2025.
- Microsoft Store Black Friday sale: Microsoft’s separate general Black Friday landing page listed November 20 through November 29, 2025.
The difference does not justify collapsing the two windows into one date. The December 3 end date applies to the Xbox game promotion described by Xbox Wire, while November 29 was the window published for the broader Microsoft Store sale page. The offers have now ended under either timetable.

The promotion was described as U.S.-only in the referenced Xbox Wire version. Xbox also warned that offers could vary by market and retailer, so a U.S. discount should never be assumed to apply in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, or another region.
The $1 Game Pass offer was for qualifying new subscribers
Xbox advertised a Xbox Game Pass offer priced at $1 for 14 days, followed by $14.99 per month unless canceled. The terms applied to qualifying new subscribers rather than all Xbox users. Existing subscribers, previous trial participants, or accounts excluded by the offer terms may not have qualified.

That offer is historical. Subscription pricing, plan names, trial length, and eligibility can change, so anyone considering Game Pass now should check the current terms displayed on the official Xbox or Microsoft account purchase page rather than relying on the 2025 figures. A $1 trial mentioned in an old Black Friday article is not evidence of a current promotion.
Controllers, headsets, and Design Lab
Accessories were a more important part of the 2025 event than a broad console markdown. Xbox promoted select wireless controllers and Xbox Wireless Headsets for console, PC, and cloud use. The announcement did not say that every color, edition, or retailer configuration received the same discount.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesAn Xbox Wireless Controller was one of the most straightforward gift categories because it can serve a second-player setup, replace a worn controller, or provide a controller for compatible PC and cloud use. For a current purchase, verify the exact model, included connectivity options, color, battery arrangement, and compatibility before comparing prices. Do not assume that a 2025 Black Friday discount still applies.
An Xbox wireless headset was another natural accessory category for multiplayer players. Compare the exact platform support and connection method, microphone features, charging arrangement, and included accessories. A headset described generally as compatible with Xbox may not have identical functionality across console, PC, and cloud devices.
Xbox Design Lab offered free engraving on new controller purchases from November 27 through December 12, 2025. That was a personalization benefit, not a blanket discount on Design Lab controllers. Because the window ended in December 2025, it should not be presented as an ongoing free-engraving offer.
Were Xbox consoles discounted for Black Friday 2025?
Xbox’s principal 2025 announcement emphasized games and wireless accessories rather than announcing a broad first-party Xbox console price cut. That does not prove that no individual retailer discounted a console. Retailers can run their own markdowns, bundles, clearance sales, or membership offers. It is more accurate to say that the official Xbox announcement did not establish a universal console discount.

Microsoft’s separate product-pricing document listed the following U.S. reference prices as of October 3, 2025:
| Console model | U.S. reference price listed before Black Friday |
|---|---|
| Xbox Series S 512GB | $399.99 |
| Xbox Series S 1TB | $449.99 |
| Xbox Series X Digital | $599.99 |
| Xbox Series X | $649.99 |
| Xbox Series X 2TB Galaxy Black Special Edition | $799.99 |
These were reference prices, not proof that every model sold at those amounts during Black Friday. They also should not be mistaken for current 2026 pricing. A retailer’s final price could have differed because of a sale, bundle, stock situation, membership requirement, open-box condition, or regional pricing.
Digital versus physical Xbox games
The official promotion was strongest as a digital-games story, but physical copies remained worth checking for shoppers who prefer discs or retailer-specific deals.
Choose digital when:
- You want immediate delivery to an Xbox or PC storefront account.
- You are comfortable tying the purchase to the relevant digital account and region.
- The exact edition and included content are clear at checkout.
- The digital price is lower than the physical equivalent after accounting for shipping and retailer discounts.
Choose physical when:
- You have a disc-capable console and want a disc-based copy.
- You want to compare new, used, refurbished, or clearance inventory.
- You may resell, lend, or trade the game where applicable.
- A retailer has a better price than the digital storefront.
For a disc purchase, check whether the listing is for Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One, whether it is new or used, whether it is a standard edition or a bundle, and whether the package includes any promotional code. A cheap listing can represent a different platform, condition, edition, or membership-restricted price rather than the same product sold digitally.
Readers who prefer discs can compare physical Xbox games at major game retailers, including used and bargain sections where available. That route is especially useful when an official digital discount has expired, but the listing should still be checked for platform, condition, region, and stock.
Where to compare Xbox deals
Xbox warned that prices and availability could vary by market and retailer. The table below is a shopping framework rather than a claim that any retailer still has a 2025 price or a particular product in stock.

| Retailer or destination | Most relevant categories | What to record before calling it a deal |
|---|---|---|
| Microsoft Store or Xbox storefront | Digital Xbox games, PC games, Game Pass, Design Lab controllers, and official accessories | Region, edition, current price, sale end date, and subscription eligibility. The official Xbox Black Friday sale is now an archive for the 2025 event. |
| Amazon | Controllers, headsets, battery packs, charging docks, storage products, and physical games | Seller, condition, platform, edition, delivery cost, and whether the listing is sold by a third party. |
| Best Buy | Consoles, controllers, headsets, storage, monitors, TVs, and physical games where stocked | Current price, pickup or delivery availability, open-box status, bundle contents, and membership restrictions. Compare Best Buy Xbox deals by exact model. |
| Walmart | Xbox hardware, physical games, controllers, and holiday electronics | Seller, new versus refurbished condition, pickup availability, exact edition, and current stock. Check Walmart Xbox deals against other retailers. |
| GameStop | Physical games, used games, systems, controllers, accessories, and bargain inventory | New or pre-owned condition, disc completeness, trade-in or membership pricing, platform, and local stock. GameStop is a natural place to compare GameStop Xbox deals. |
No retailer-specific 2025 price list is reproduced here because a historical price is only meaningful when it includes the observation date, retailer, edition, platform, condition, and availability. Reusing an undated Black Friday price would make it look like a current offer when it is not.

If you are shopping after the 2025 event, use the old discounts as benchmarks rather than promises:
- For a digital game: check the current Xbox or Microsoft Store listing, confirm the region and edition, and compare the present price with the game’s normal price. Do not assume the 2025 percentage is still active.
- For a physical game: compare Microsoft’s digital listing with Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and GameStop. Record the date, platform, condition, edition, seller, and whether the copy is new, used, refurbished, or bundled.
- For a controller: compare an Xbox Wireless Controller by exact color and model, then check compatibility and what batteries or charging equipment are included.
- For a headset: verify Xbox, PC, and cloud-device compatibility separately. Check whether the listing is an official Xbox Wireless Headset or a third-party Xbox-compatible product, since connection methods and features can differ.
- For power and storage: confirm the exact Xbox compatibility, capacity, connector or expansion format, and included cable or charging equipment before comparing a battery pack, charging dock, or storage expansion product.
- For Game Pass: use only the current subscription page and current eligibility terms. The 14-day, $1 offer followed by $14.99 per month was the 2025 promotion, not a standing price.
The best current purchase depends on the product category. A digital game may be cheapest during a later publisher or platform sale, while a physical copy or accessory may be cheaper through a retailer’s clearance, used, open-box, or bundle inventory. Those are separate opportunities and should not be represented as the original Black Friday 2025 promotion.
Bottom line on Xbox Black Friday 2025
Xbox Black Friday 2025 delivered its clearest value through select digital games: up to 75% off Xbox titles, up to 85% off select PC games, and more than 2,000 games included in the advertised promotion. The strongest named discounts included Hogwarts Legacy at 85% off, Fallout 76 at 75% off, and NBA 2K26 Standard Edition at 55% off. The event also included a historical $1 Game Pass trial for qualifying new subscribers, selected accessory discounts, and free Design Lab engraving for a limited period.
It is not a live sale now. For a current purchase, verify today’s price and terms at the relevant storefront or retailer, and treat every 2025 price, subscription term, stock claim, and promotional date as expired historical information.
Source and date notes
The primary promotion details in this article come from Xbox Wire’s U.S. Black Friday announcement dated November 20, 2025. The separate November 20–29 Microsoft Store window comes from Microsoft’s general Black Friday landing page. Console figures are U.S. reference prices listed by Microsoft as of October 3, 2025. Retailer inventory and pricing were not treated as universal Xbox offers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the Xbox Black Friday 2025 deals still live?
No. Black Friday 2025 took place on November 28, 2025, and the advertised Xbox game promotion ended by December 3, 2025. The $1 Game Pass offer and free Design Lab engraving promotion also expired.
Did Xbox consoles receive an official Black Friday 2025 discount?
The official Xbox announcement emphasized digital games and wireless accessories rather than announcing a broad first-party console price cut. Individual retailers could still have offered their own discounts, bundles, clearance prices, or membership deals.
Why are there two different Xbox Black Friday 2025 end dates?
Xbox Wire said the digital Xbox game promotion ran from November 20 through December 3. Microsoft’s separate general Microsoft Store Black Friday page listed November 20 through November 29. Those were different sale windows and should not be merged.
What were the Xbox Game Pass Black Friday 2025 terms?
The advertised terms were 14 days for $1, followed by $14.99 per month unless canceled. Eligibility was limited to qualifying new subscribers, and those terms describe the 2025 event rather than current Game Pass pricing.

The Bottom Line
Bottom line: Xbox Black Friday 2025 was mainly a digital-game and accessory sale, with advertised savings of up to 75% on select Xbox games and up to 85% on select PC games. The promotion, the $1 Game Pass terms, and the Design Lab engraving window have all expired, so current shoppers must recheck prices, eligibility, editions, and stock.
