The report said the offer ended October 7, so it is no longer a live deal as of October 8. The current Amazon price and availability have not been verified.
What was the reported price cut?
DailyEnergi’s October 2 report named the white Elite Series 2 Core and gave a promotional price of $111.74, down from a stated $149.99. The report said the offer would end October 7. That is secondary-source deal reporting, not a verified Amazon listing or a current price check. The stated promotion window has passed.
Xbox Wire listed the Core’s original US launch MSRP as $129.99 in September 2022, while the full Elite Series 2 launched at $179.99. Those are historical launch prices, not current prices and not confirmation of the $149.99 reference price in DailyEnergi’s report. Xbox Wire’s launch announcement.
What makes the Elite Series 2 Core different?
The Core is aimed at players who want customization features such as adjustable-tension thumbsticks, shorter hair-trigger locks, button mapping, and saved profiles. Xbox also lists a wrap-around rubberized grip. These features are useful if you expect to tune controls for different games; they are less compelling if you do not plan to adjust sticks, triggers, or button assignments.

Xbox advertises an internal rechargeable battery with up to 40 hours of life per charge, while noting that actual battery life varies with usage and other factors. See the official Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 product page for its features and compatibility notes.
Core versus the full Elite Series 2 package
The Core package does not include all the accessories found in the full Series 2 box. Xbox lists the Core (White) contents as the controller, a thumbstick adjustment tool, and a USB-C cable. The full package includes a charging dock, carrying case, four paddles, alternate thumbsticks, and an additional D-pad.

Xbox also lists a separate Complete Component Pack for Core owners who want additional components; those accessories are not included with the Core controller. Check the official product page for package and accessory details.

Xbox says the controller works with Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, Windows PC, and selected mobile devices through Xbox Wireless, Bluetooth, or USB-C. Support depends on the device and operating-system requirements, and connection options vary by setup. Confirm compatibility for the specific device you plan to use on Xbox’s product page.

How to judge a new offer
- Look at the live checkout price and availability; the October report does not establish either today.
- Compare the price with the package you actually want. If you need a dock, case, paddles, or alternate sticks, the Core’s listed box does not include them.
- Consider whether adjustable stick tension, trigger locks, button mapping, and saved profiles match how you play.
- Check platform and operating-system compatibility for your console, PC, or mobile device before ordering.
