Xbox has announced several 2026 games as day-one Game Pass titles, including Minecraft Dungeons II, Gears of War: E-Day, Fable and Forza Horizon 6. As of October 8, 2026, this is a set of dated announcements rather than a complete or fixed annual catalog, and two of the four dates have already passed. “Stacked” is our characterization of the lineup, not Xbox’s wording.
The day-one titles Xbox has dated
The table below lists the Game Pass announcements covered by Xbox’s own posts. Each row gives the date Xbox announced, the tier named in that announcement, and the status as of October 8, 2026.

| Minecraft Dungeons II | September 29, 2026 | Day one with Game Pass (tier listed in the post) | Date has passed; confirm it is live in the Game Pass catalog | Xbox Wire update, September 15, 2026 |
| Gears of War: E-Day | October 6, 2026 | Day one with Game Pass (tier listed in the post) | Date has passed; confirm it is live in the Game Pass catalog | Xbox Wire update, September 15, 2026 |
| Fable | Autumn 2026 (no specific day given) | Game Pass Ultimate, day one | Window is open, but the plan predates later updates and may have changed | Developer Direct recap, January 22, 2026 |
| Forza Horizon 6 | May 19, 2026 | Game Pass Ultimate, day one | Announced date has passed; confirm current availability | Developer Direct recap, January 22, 2026 |
The Xbox Wire post for September 15 lists the supported device categories for the games it covers. Check that post for platform details, since they are not repeated here.
How to read the status of each announcement
Xbox uses the same kind of language for very different levels of commitment, so it helps to sort each mention into one of three categories:

- Dated Game Pass addition: an Xbox service announcement that gives a specific date and names the Game Pass tier. Minecraft Dungeons II and Gears of War: E-Day fall here.
- Announced plan: a Game Pass commitment with a broader window and no fixed day. Fable is in this category.
- Showcase reveal: a trailer, world premiere or franchise announcement with no Game Pass commitment in the coverage. Clockwork Revolution is the clearest example in Xbox’s June material.
Fable and Forza Horizon 6: older plans to recheck
Both titles were covered in Xbox’s January 22, 2026 Developer Direct recap. Forza Horizon 6 was given a May 19, 2026 date with day-one Game Pass Ultimate availability. That date is now in the past, so any reader looking for it should check the Game Pass catalog for its current status rather than assuming it is still upcoming.
Fable was given an Autumn 2026 window with day-one Game Pass Ultimate availability. Autumn is not a specific date, and because the announcement is from January, later Xbox posts may have narrowed the release or changed the plan. Treat the January window as the last published plan we have seen, not a confirmed launch day.

Why showcase reveals do not confirm Game Pass
Xbox’s June 7, 2026 showcase recap covered many world premieres, trailers and franchise announcements, including Gears of War: E-Day, Fable and Clockwork Revolution. Appearing in that recap shows that a game was on stage, not that it is in Game Pass. For Gears of War: E-Day, the Game Pass status comes from the September 15 announcement, which gave the October 6 date. For Clockwork Revolution, the showcase coverage does not establish a Game Pass plan, so readers should not treat it as part of the subscription lineup until Xbox says so in a service announcement.

- Open the most recent Xbox Wire post for the game and find the line naming Game Pass and the tier. Note the announcement date.
- Check the platform list in the same post, since device support can differ between titles.
- Search the Game Pass catalog on your device or on the Xbox website for the title. A title that has a passed date but is missing from the catalog should be treated as not currently available.
- Look for a later date change. Xbox’s weekly “Next Week” feature notes that upcoming release dates are subject to change, so a date from September or January may have moved.
Because Xbox adds games on a rolling basis, this list reflects announcements as of October 8, 2026. Anything announced after that date, or any title not named in the table, is outside the scope of this article.
