Microsoft’s October 17, 2023 Xbox Game Pass Wave 2 announcement named eight games arriving between October 17 and October 31. Most were listed for Xbox console, but Cities: Skylines II was PC-only, and the Dead Space remake required EA Play access and an Xbox Series X|S for console play. The schedule below is historical, not a guide to what is currently in the Game Pass catalog.
All eight games and their October 2023 dates
Xbox Wire published the schedule on October 17, 2023. Like a Dragon: Ishin! was available that day; the other titles were scheduled for later dates in the announcement window.

Which games were playable on Xbox console?
The announcement listed console availability for Like a Dragon: Ishin!, F1 Manager 2023, Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery, Mineko’s Night Market, Headbangers: Rhythm Royale and Jusant. It also listed Dead Space for Xbox Series X|S specifically. The listing did not include Xbox One for that game.

Cities: Skylines II was the exception: this October update listed it for PC only. “Console” and “cloud” were separate availability categories in Xbox’s announcement, so cloud access should not be taken to mean a native console release.
What the Dead Space EA Play requirement meant
Xbox listed the remake as available through EA Play and specified Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play members for access. It was not a standard inclusion for every Game Pass tier. A console subscriber without the relevant EA Play entitlement should not have assumed access; the announced console version was for Xbox Series X|S.

Plan names and included benefits have changed since 2023. Xbox’s current catalog describes present-day plan availability, including EA Play positioning, but those current labels should not be applied retroactively to the 2023 offer. Check the current Xbox Game Pass catalog for availability by plan, region and platform.
Which releases were day one?
Xbox described Cities: Skylines II as day one with PC Game Pass, and called Headbangers: Rhythm Royale and Jusant day-one Game Pass releases. The platform matters: the Cities: Skylines II listing was PC-only in this update. “Day one” refers to the title’s launch availability, not a promise that every platform had a version.

Games leaving Game Pass on October 31, 2023
Xbox said these five titles were scheduled to leave the catalog on October 31:
- Gunfire Reborn
- Kill It With Fire
- Persona 5 Royal
- Signalis
- Solasta: Crown of the Magister
Leaving Game Pass meant subscription access was ending, not that the games could no longer be bought. Xbox advertised a 20% member discount on purchases of departing games in that announcement; it was a 2023 offer, not a current promotion.

Other benefits mentioned in the announcement
The post also noted a 75-day Crunchyroll Mega Fan perk for Ultimate members, available until October 20, 2023. It announced an EA Sports UFC 5 EA Play early-access trial beginning October 24, 2023, and a 10% EA Play member discount on the full game. These were dated benefits tied to that announcement, not ongoing offers.
