Buying departing games: the 2024 discount offer
Both posts said members could purchase games that were leaving to keep them, and both mentioned a membership discount of up to 20%. That was the offer as stated in the 2024 announcements. It is not a current price, and neither post named physical editions or a specific retail channel for these purchases.
Items that are not catalog additions
The September posts also mentioned items that are not new catalog games. These were DLC, game updates, and Ultimate perks, and they should not be read as additions to the library.

Checking whether a September 2024 title is still available
Game Pass catalogs change over time, and these posts are more than a year old. Before you subscribe, install, or buy a title because of this list, confirm its current status on Xbox’s Game Pass catalog and on the latest Xbox Wire posts. A title that was listed as joining in 2024 may have since left, and a title listed as leaving in 2024 may no longer be relevant to a current deadline.
