The Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Cyber Monday deal that sold for $18.99 was a real 2025 Amazon promotion—but it is not a verified current price. Microsoft’s current U.S. price for Game Pass Ultimate is $22.99 per month, down from the $29.99 monthly price in effect when the $18.99 offer was reported.

The $18.99 price applied to a one-month digital membership code sold through Amazon in the United States during the 2025 Cyber Monday shopping period. A separate three-month option was reported at about $57, or approximately $19 per month. Treat both figures as historical deal prices, not promises about what Amazon will charge now or during Cyber Monday 2026.

What the $18.99 Xbox Game Pass deal actually was
TechRadar reported the one-month Amazon offer on November 29, 2025, and Windows Central covered it again on December 2. It was a retailer promotion for a prepaid or digital membership code—not a permanent reduction to Microsoft’s recurring subscription price.

- EA PLAY MEMBERSHIP INCLUDED: Jump into Battlefield, STAR WARS, and other great game franchises with EA Play. Included at no extra cost, members get access to a collection of EA’s best-loved games, in-game rewards, and trials of select new games.
That distinction matters. There are three different ways a Game Pass price may appear:
- Microsoft’s direct subscription: a recurring monthly plan billed through your Microsoft account.
- A retailer code: a prepaid one-, three-, or other-duration membership code that you redeem on your account.
- A temporary promotion: a discounted price that may be limited by date, region, account eligibility, inventory, or redemption terms.
So, if you see an Amazon listing titled Xbox Game Pass Ultimate 1 Month code, check the live listing before treating it as the same offer. The product type may match the 2025 deal while the price, seller, region, redemption rules, or availability has changed.
How the price compares now
| Price or event | What it means |
|---|---|
| $18.99 | Historical U.S. Amazon price for one month of Ultimate during the 2025 Cyber Monday period. |
| About $57 | Historical reported price for three months, equivalent to roughly $19 per month. |
| $29.99/month | Microsoft’s U.S. monthly price reported when the 2025 promotion ran. |
| $22.99/month | Microsoft’s current U.S. price listed in August 2026. |
Against the current official $22.99 price, an $18.99 month would save $4. Against the former $29.99 price, it saved $11. That is why the historical deal looked especially attractive in late 2025, but it should not be described as an active $18.99 deal without a verified live listing.

What Game Pass Ultimate includes
Ultimate is Microsoft’s highest Game Pass tier. Its benefits currently include:
Rank #2
- DISCOVER 50+ GAMES — Explore a curated library of more than 50 games playable across XBOX consoles, PC, and supported devices, with new favorites ready to discover.
- PLAY ACROSS YOUR FAVORITE DEVICES — Enjoy included games across supported XBOX consoles, PC, and other compatible devices for more ways to play wherever you are.
- PLAY TOGETHER ONLINE — Connect with friends and communities with online console multiplayer included with XBOX Game Pass Essential.
- STREAM WITH XBOX CLOUD GAMING — Enjoy up to 5 hours of cloud playtime per month and stream supported games to compatible devices with XBOX Cloud Gaming.
- EARN REWARDS WHILE YOU PLAY — Earn Rewards points by playing games, completing eligible activities, and shopping in the Store with your XBOX Game Pass membership.
- A catalog of more than 500 games across Xbox console and PC, although the catalog and individual titles can change.
- Xbox Cloud Gaming, including unlimited cloud gaming under Microsoft’s current offering.
- Online console multiplayer.
- Member rewards, in-game benefits, and other subscriber perks.
- Selected major releases available on day one.
- Access to current Call of Duty titles under Microsoft’s stated Ultimate benefits.
There is an important qualification for shoppers subscribing specifically for Call of Duty. Microsoft’s April 21, 2026 price announcement said that future Call of Duty titles would not join Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass at launch. Instead, those future titles were described as arriving during the following holiday season, approximately a year later. Do not assume that every future first-party game—or every future Call of Duty release—will be available in Ultimate on day one.
Will the $18.99 deal return for Cyber Monday 2026?
There is no verified $18.99 Cyber Monday 2026 offer in the available evidence. U.S. Cyber Monday 2026 is scheduled for Monday, November 30, 2026, but the calendar date is not an announcement of an Amazon promotion.
The 2025 promotion makes another retailer deal plausible, but it does not establish the price, duration, seller, or terms of a future offer. The sensible approach is to check Amazon and Microsoft when the event arrives rather than assuming that the 2025 price will repeat.

What to check before buying a future Amazon code
Before buying a discounted membership code, verify every item below on the live product page:
- Region: Confirm that the code is for the United States if you are redeeming it on a U.S. Microsoft account. A code intended for another market may not redeem successfully.
- Membership duration: Make sure the listing says one month, three months, or the duration you intend to purchase. Do not infer the term from the headline price.
- Product tier: Check that it is specifically Game Pass Ultimate, not PC Game Pass, Console Game Pass, Core, or a trial promotion.
- Redemption requirements: Read whether the code requires a new subscriber, excludes current members, or has other account restrictions.
- Stacking rules: If you already subscribe, confirm whether the code can be added to your existing membership and how Microsoft converts or extends the time. Do not assume that every code stacks in the same way.
- Expiration language: Look for a redemption deadline or other expiry condition.
- Recurring billing: A discounted code and a direct subscription are not necessarily billed the same way. If you activate a recurring Microsoft subscription, check the renewal setting and cancel recurring billing if you do not want the subscription to continue automatically.
- Seller and fulfillment: Confirm who supplies the digital code and whether the listing is currently available, rather than relying on an old deal-page price.
Is $18.99 still a good price?
For a full month of U.S. Game Pass Ultimate, $18.99 would still be a meaningful discount against Microsoft’s current $22.99 monthly price. It would be particularly useful if you only need access for a specific release, a holiday break, or a short multiplayer period.
However, the discount is smaller than it was in 2025. A three-month code should also be judged by its effective monthly cost, not only its total price. The historical $57 offer worked out to about $19 per month, which was cheaper than both the old $29.99 subscription and the current $22.99 price. A future listing should be recalculated the same way, while also accounting for any restrictions on redemption or stacking.

What to do if a code does not redeem
- Recheck the Microsoft account’s country or region and compare it with the code’s stated market.
- Confirm that you purchased Ultimate rather than another Game Pass tier.
- Read the listing and redemption instructions for account eligibility or a redemption deadline.
- Do not repeatedly submit a code if Microsoft reports that it has already been redeemed; preserve the order and code information and contact the retailer or Microsoft support as appropriate.
- If the code extends an existing subscription differently than expected, review the account’s subscription page and conversion details before buying additional codes.
Bottom line
The headline is accurate as a historical deal: Amazon offered one month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $18.99 in the U.S. during the 2025 Cyber Monday period. It is not an established August 2026 price, and no $18.99 Cyber Monday 2026 offer has been verified. Microsoft currently lists Ultimate at $22.99 per month, so an $18.99 code would save $4 if the same price returns. Check the live listing’s region, term, eligibility, expiry, stacking rules, and billing conditions before purchasing.
