The annual figures are arithmetic illustrations of paying the listed monthly price for all 12 months; they are not annual-plan prices. Both product pages state that subscriptions continue automatically unless cancelled. Promotional offers can have limited eligibility and renew at the standard price after the promotional period, so use the normal recurring price in your comparison and treat a promotion as a separate, temporary saving.

What changed in 2026

In an Xbox Wire announcement dated April 21, 2026, Team Xbox said US Ultimate pricing fell from $29.99 to $22.99 per month and PC Game Pass fell from $16.49 to $13.99 per month. The announcement also said future Call of Duty titles would no longer join Ultimate or PC Game Pass at launch; new titles were planned for the following holiday season, about a year later. Existing Call of Duty titles then in the library were to remain available.

That policy means you should not assume that a future Call of Duty release is a day-one inclusion. Check the current announcement, plan page and catalog for the particular release you care about. A title’s marketing, launch timing or publisher does not override the plan’s current release policy.

You need online console multiplayer

Ultimate’s US product page lists online console multiplayer among its features. Include that benefit in your calculation only if you actively play online and would otherwise need a separate service. PC players should not assume a console feature applies to their setup.
