The Xbox Games Showcase on June 8, 2025 introduced the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X handhelds, developed with ASUS, and said every new game shown would be Xbox Play Anywhere. It also laid out release windows for about 30 entries across first-party games, partner titles, expansions and live-game updates.
This is a retrospective. The dates below are what Xbox announced in 2025, not confirmation of current release status, so check current store listings before treating any window as a launch date. Some entries in Xbox’s recap are dated after the broadcast itself; where that happens, the article says so. The Outer Worlds 2 and Grounded 2 Direct followed the show immediately, and material from that companion program is labelled as such.

The hardware: ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X
The only new hardware in the showcase was a pair of Windows handhelds built with ASUS. Xbox described them as able to access games from Xbox, Battle.net and other leading PC storefronts, which means the devices are positioned as a way to play Xbox titles alongside a broader PC library rather than as a closed console.
The June 2025 recap established the following, and nothing beyond it:

Any current price, stock position or specification comparison has to come from ASUS or Microsoft’s current product pages, not from the showcase.
Xbox Play Anywhere and the Xbox Ally claim
Xbox Wire stated that all new games shown during the event were Xbox Play Anywhere. The recap’s wording on the benefit reads:
“With a single purchase, you can play with Xbox, including your progress and achievements, across Xbox console, PC and Xbox Ally—at no additional cost.”
