O Xbox Games Showcase aconteceu em 8 de junho de 2025, em formato digital, e apresentou jogos de estúdios Xbox e parceiros. Antes da transmissão, a Xbox confirmou que o evento seria seguido imediatamente por uma apresentação dedicada a The Outer Worlds 2. O que se podia esperar com segurança era esse formato — não os títulos específicos que acabariam aparecendo.
O que a Xbox havia confirmado antes do Showcase
Em 9 de abril de 2025, a Xbox anunciou o Showcase para 8 de junho, às 10h PDT, 13h EDT e 18h no Reino Unido. A transmissão seria exclusivamente digital e mostraria próximos jogos de seus estúdios e parceiros. Logo depois, viria The Outer Worlds 2 Direct, com gameplay, detalhes do RPG da Obsidian e comentários de seus desenvolvedores. O guia de transmissão publicado em 2 de junho trouxe horários regionais e canais para assistir.
Portanto, a expectativa documentada antes do evento era por uma apresentação ampla de jogos, seguida por um segmento aprofundado sobre The Outer Worlds 2. A Xbox não havia confirmado previamente quais jogos seriam anunciados ou receberiam novos trailers.

- Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 teve seu anúncio mundial.
- Grounded 2 foi anunciado, e The Outer Worlds 2, ambos da Obsidian, também recebeu destaque — com a Direct posterior dedicada a aprofundar o segundo jogo.
- Keeper, da Double Fine, fez sua estreia.
- Clockwork Revolution recebeu uma apresentação extensa de gameplay.

Os portáteis ROG Xbox Ally e a promessa de Play Anywhere
A grande novidade de hardware foi a apresentação dos portáteis ROG Xbox Ally e ROG Xbox Ally X, desenvolvidos em parceria com a ASUS. No anúncio de junho de 2025, a Xbox previa o lançamento durante o período de festas daquele ano em mercados selecionados, com disponibilidade posterior em outros mercados onde a linha ROG Ally já era vendida. A Xbox também afirmou que cada novo jogo mostrado seria compatível com Xbox Play Anywhere. Segundo a empresa, uma compra permitiria jogar entre console Xbox, PC e Xbox Ally, com progresso e conquistas compartilhados sem custo adicional.
O que a Xbox sinalizou para 2026
Ao encerrar a apresentação, Phil Spencer mencionou Fable, o próximo Forza, Gears of War: E-Day e o retorno de um clássico em 2026. A recapitulação da Xbox registra a frase: “The return of a classic that’s been with us since the beginning…” A referência ao clássico não identifica o jogo nessa fala, então não é seguro tratá-la como confirmação de um título específico.

O Showcase misturou novidades de categorias diferentes: anúncios inéditos, material novo de jogos já conhecidos, DLC, lançamentos de parceiros e hardware. A distinção importa: uma revelação não é necessariamente uma data de lançamento, e uma janela mencionada para 2026 não equivale a uma disponibilidade imediata. A edição de 2025 foi, sobretudo, uma apresentação do que chegaria ao ecossistema Xbox, não uma lista de jogos todos prontos para jogar.
