Microsoft had not announced an official Xbox Year in Review or “Wrap Up” for 2022 as of December that year. TrueAchievements launched an unofficial alternative, #MyYearOnXbox, on December 20: a personalized infographic of users’ 2022 Xbox stats. The announcement confirms it launched then, but not that the 2022 version is still accessible today.
What Xbox players were asking for in December 2022
On December 14, 2022, Pure Xbox reported that PlayStation and Nintendo had released annual recaps while Microsoft had not announced an equivalent Xbox feature. The report also noted that Xbox’s annual recap format had not appeared for several years. That describes the situation at the time; it does not establish why Microsoft had not announced a recap.

TrueAchievements author Rich Stone later described “a fair amount of disappointment” among Xbox fans after PlayStation launched its 2022 Wrap-Up. That is Stone’s characterization of the community response, not the result of a survey. The available coverage gives no measured count of players demanding an Xbox recap.
The unofficial 2022 alternative: #MyYearOnXbox
On December 20, 2022, TrueAchievements announced #MyYearOnXbox, a personalized infographic showing a user’s Xbox stats for that year, which users could save or share. It was a third-party offering from TrueAchievements, not an official Microsoft feature.

The announcement documents the 2022 edition’s launch, but does not verify that its infographic still works or can be generated now. A separate TrueAchievements page describes a later year’s edition; it does not confirm current access to the 2022 version.
Why Xbox Museum was not the same thing
Xbox Museum was an anniversary experience, not a calendar-year 2022 recap. TrueAchievements’ 2021 description says its personal history stats included Gamerscore, most-played game, top genre, achievements earned, titles played and owned consoles. Pure Xbox reported that the museum had been disabled by December 2022. Its historical stats and broader Xbox-history focus do not make it a substitute for a 2022 annual wrap-up.
