- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
What makes the Nano different
Xbox describes the Nano as its smallest controller. It is a little over 5 inches long and weighs 3.5 ounces, while still including all 18 standard gameplay inputs. That combination is intended to preserve the familiar control layout in a form that can fit in nearly every pocket or a small travel bag.
The compact size may be especially useful for children and adults with smaller hands, but Xbox has not published independent measurements comparing the Nano directly with a standard Xbox Wireless Controller. The company also has not released battery-life, latency or durability test results, so those performance questions remain unanswered until broader technical information or hands-on testing becomes available.

Controls, battery and shortcuts
The Nano uses a rechargeable battery rather than relying on disposable cells. Xbox also adds a programmable Action Button. Players can assign shortcuts such as screenshots and gameplay capture, potentially reducing the number of menu steps needed during play. The announcement confirms the button’s programmability and examples of supported shortcuts, but does not list every possible assignment or explain the setup screen.
Wireless and cloud-gaming support
The controller supports Xbox Wireless and Bluetooth for compatible devices. Xbox Wireless is the connection intended for supported Xbox hardware, while Bluetooth broadens use to compatible PCs, phones, tablets and other devices. Compatibility can vary by operating system, hardware and game, so buyers should verify support for their specific device.

Xbox also positions the Nano for cloud gaming on supported devices. Its small footprint can make a phone, tablet or other portable screen easier to use while traveling, but the controller does not remove the need for a supported Xbox Cloud Gaming setup, a compatible device and a suitable network connection.
Who the pocketable design is for
- Younger players: The shorter body and lighter 3.5-ounce weight may be easier to hold than a full-size pad.
- People with smaller hands: The design targets players who find conventional controllers uncomfortable.
- Families: A lower $49.99 US list price and compact storage can make it practical as an additional controller for shared play.
- Travelers and cloud gamers: The pocketable shape is intended to fit in a bag or pocket alongside a portable gaming device.
Xbox’s positioning line is “Portable. Pocketable. Capable.” General Manager of Xbox Accessories James Hunter described it as “designed to fit nearly every pocket and budget.” Those statements describe the intended audience rather than an independent assessment of comfort or performance.

It also does not provide a direct standard-controller specification sheet. Those omissions matter if you are choosing the Nano for competitive play or replacing a larger controller rather than buying a portable second pad.
