A September 2026 guide for Patch 1.1.5.0 reports that full category access arrives at level 40. The exact restrictions between those milestones are not confirmed, so treat level 40 as the reported full-access threshold—not a promise that every item can be traded.
Level 15 opens the market; level 40 is the reported full-access point
There are two different milestones behind the question “What level unlocks the flea market?” Reaching PMC level 15 opens the market tab. Reaching level 40 is reported as the point at which all market categories become accessible. Grant Taylor-Hill’s November 15, 2025 Insider Gaming report described the distinction this way: “The base Flea Market unlocks at Level 15 as always, but there are higher restrictions now in terms of levels.” That is games-media reporting, not an official statement from Battlestate Games.
A newer Tarkov Field Guide snapshot, labeled Patch 1.1.5.0 and dated September 2026, also gives level 40 as the full-category threshold. It explicitly says the precise intermediate unlock ladder has not been verified. There is no established region-specific difference in the sources cited here.
Category restrictions are not the same as an item being unavailable
Flea-market access can be restricted by category or by an item’s own current requirements. In November 2025, Insider Gaming reported examples including bolt-action rifles at level 20, assault and marksman rifles at 25, barter items at 30, and selected ammunition at 35 or 40. Those are dated examples, not a confirmed schedule for Patch 1.1.5.0; do not assume the same categories unlock at the same levels now.

- Exclusive Top Customs design – crafted to closely resemble Tagilla’s in-game appearance with premium attention to detail
- Made from durable hard PVC, NOT 3D printed, using high-quality injection molding for a clean, professional finish
- Perfect for collection and display alongside your Tarkov gear or gaming setup!
- Ideal gift for your squadmates, friends, boyfriends/girlfriends
- A must-have for Tarkov fans. Whether you’re messing around in the hideout or building the ultimate 'Chad' loadout, this collectible hits hard.
For a specific purchase or listing, check the item in the live game rather than inferring its status from an old category list. Tarkov Market also displays a flea-level filter and item requirements, but it is a dynamic third-party reference, not an official rules source.
How to check whether you can trade a specific item
- Check your PMC level. Level 15 is the reported base unlock; below that, the flea-market tab is not open.
- Open the item’s current market entry in-game. Confirm whether its category or the item itself has a level restriction. The full intermediate ladder and a complete current restriction list have not been established.
- Review the displayed fee before listing. Use the game’s fee preview for the transaction rather than assuming a single flat percentage applies to every sale.
What changed about flea-market fees
Battlestate Games’ official Patch 1.1.0.0 / Season 1 KORD BREACH announcement says it “Increased the Flea Market fee from 3% to 5%.” The announcement applies the listed economy changes to PvP Season, PvP Zone, and PvE Zone. A September 2026 guide describes the fee as roughly 5%, but does not establish the complete fee formula, so the displayed in-game preview is the useful figure for an individual listing.

The same official announcement says trader prices rose by an average of 25%, and the prices traders pay for player-sold items fell by an average of 20%. It also notes that several traders’ loyalty requirements were rebalanced and required sales volume was removed. These are separate economy and trader-progression changes; they do not explain the flea market’s level-based category access.

Rules to verify before relying on an old guide
- Intermediate category levels: The September 2026 guide does not verify a complete progression schedule from levels 15 through 40. Historical category examples should not be treated as current guarantees.
- Banned or restricted items: A complete current list is not established in the guide. Check the live listing or current item data.
- Found-in-raid listing rules: The guide says their post-1.1.0.0 status is unverified; it does not support a blanket claim that only found-in-raid items can be listed.
- Fee calculation: The official patch confirms a change from 3% to 5%, but the current complete calculation is not established by these sources. Check the fee shown by the game.
