रिकॉर्डेड वीडियो को YouTube Live पर स्ट्रीम करते समय लैपटॉप को चालू और जागा हुआ रहना चाहिए—लेकिन स्क्रीन बंद होना और कंप्यूटर का sleep में जाना अलग-अलग चीजें हैं। Windows में plugged-in स्क्रीन और sleep टाइमआउट अलग सेट करें; Mac पर उपलब्ध होने पर पावर अडैप्टर से जुड़ा sleep विकल्प बंद करें। फिर अपने encoder के साथ पूरा परीक्षण करें।
पहले समझें: स्क्रीन बंद होना बनाम Sleep
स्क्रीन बंद होने पर डिस्प्ले अंधेरा होता है; इससे यह जरूरी नहीं कि लैपटॉप भी बंद या sleep हो जाए। Sleep में जाने पर encoder का YouTube को वीडियो भेजना रुक सकता है। Microsoft के अनुसार Windows के ये विकल्प स्क्रीन बंद करने और डिवाइस को sleep में डालने के व्यवहार को नियंत्रित करते हैं (Microsoft: Windows 11 power settings)।
लंबे प्रसारण के लिए AC पावर इस्तेमाल करें और plugged-in व्यवहार सेट करें। ढक्कन बंद करना जरूरी हो तो lid-close action अलग से जांचें: हर लैपटॉप पर बंद ढक्कन के साथ स्ट्रीमिंग की गारंटी नहीं होती।
Windows 11 पर सेटिंग करें
- लैपटॉप को उसके अनुकूल AC अडैप्टर से जोड़ें। लंबे stream के लिए केवल बैटरी पर निर्भर न रहें।
- Settings > System > Power & battery > Screen, sleep, & hibernate timeouts खोलें। Windows संस्करण के अनुसार नाम या उपलब्ध विकल्प बदल सकते हैं।
- Plugged in स्थिति में स्क्रीन बंद होने का समय अपनी जरूरत के मुताबिक चुनें। फिर sleep timeout इतना लंबा रखें कि प्रसारण के दौरान कंप्यूटर sleep में न जाए। स्क्रीन बंद होने का समय कम और sleep timeout लंबा रखा जा सकता है।
- यदि ढक्कन बंद करना है, तो Power Options में Choose what closing the lid does खोलें। Plugged-in स्थिति में ऐसा विकल्प चुनें जो sleep न करे, केवल तभी जब आपका डिवाइस यह विकल्प देता हो और वह आपके उपयोग के लिए उचित हो। पहले इसका परीक्षण करें। Microsoft के निर्देशों में sleep और lid व्यवहार का विवरण है (Microsoft: Shut down, sleep, or hibernate your PC)।
- लैपटॉप को स्थिर, हवादार सतह पर रखें। वेंटिलेशन अवरुद्ध न करें।
Mac पर सेटिंग करें
- Mac को पावर अडैप्टर से जोड़ें।
- System Settings > Energy खोलें। macOS रिलीज़ के अनुसार सेक्शन का स्थान या नाम अलग हो सकता है।
- यदि उपलब्ध हो, तो Prevent automatic sleeping on power adapter when the display is off चालू करें। Apple का दस्तावेज़ पावर अडैप्टर पर डिस्प्ले बंद होने की स्थिति में automatic sleep रोकने की सेटिंग बताता है (YouTube: encoder से लाइव स्ट्रीम सेट करना)। Stream key को निजी रखें।
- शेड्यूल किए गए प्रसारण से पहले test stream चलाएं। Live Control Room के preview में तस्वीर, गति और आवाज जांचें। YouTube के stream management निर्देश यहां हैं (YouTube: live stream settings प्रबंधित करना)।
- टेस्ट में वही स्क्रीन-off और lid स्थिति इस्तेमाल करें जो असली प्रसारण में होगी। पुष्टि करें कि encoder चलता रहता है, वीडियो और ऑडियो सही हैं, और नेटवर्क स्थिर है।
- Bitrate स्रोत वीडियो के resolution, frame rate, codec और upload connection के अनुसार चुनें; एक ही bitrate सभी सेटअप के लिए सही नहीं है। YouTube की encoder guidance में codec और resolution के अनुसार सीमाएं दी गई हैं (YouTube: encoder settings)।
- YouTube उपलब्ध upload bandwidth से stream bitrate अधिक न रखने और लगभग 20% अतिरिक्त upload headroom छोड़ने की सलाह देता है (YouTube: streaming tips)। उदाहरण के लिए, यह headroom नेटवर्क में उतार-चढ़ाव के लिए जगह देता है; वास्तविक जरूरत आपके encoder bitrate और कनेक्शन पर निर्भर करेगी।
- प्रसारण के दौरान stream health, वीडियो और ऑडियो पर नजर रखें। कार्यक्रम पूरा होने के बाद encoder रोकें। YouTube की live-streaming सलाह देखें (YouTube: live streaming tips)।
लंबे stream, archive और DVR की योजना
YouTube के अनुसार 12 घंटे से छोटे streams स्वतः archive हो सकते हैं; 12 घंटे से लंबे streams कैप्चर न भी हों। बहुत लंबे streams में DVR rewind सीमित या अनुपलब्ध हो सकता है (YouTube: live streams archive करना; YouTube: live streams पर DVR)। यदि आपका प्रसारण 12 घंटे के करीब पहुंचेगा या उससे आगे जाएगा, तो स्थानीय रिकॉर्डिंग भी रखें और archive या rewind उपलब्ध होने पर निर्भर न रहें।

समस्या आए तो क्या जांचें
- स्क्रीन बंद होते ही stream रुक जाए: स्क्रीन बंद होने और sleep timeout की सेटिंग अलग-अलग जांचें। Encoder के साथ दोबारा परीक्षण करें।
- कुछ समय बाद encoder disconnect हो जाए: plugged-in sleep timeout और AC कनेक्शन जांचें। फिर नेटवर्क तथा YouTube Live में stream health देखें।
- ढक्कन बंद करने पर स्ट्रीम रुक जाए: lid-close action अलग सेटिंग है। उसे जांचें; यदि आपका मॉडल इस स्थिति में जागा नहीं रह सकता, तो ढक्कन खुला रखें और डिस्प्ले बंद करने का विकल्प इस्तेमाल करें।
- वीडियो या ऑडियो में समस्या हो: encoder preview, स्रोत वीडियो और चुनी गई encoder settings जांचें। Upload bandwidth में bitrate से ऊपर पर्याप्त headroom रखें।
- लंबे stream का archive न मिले या rewind काम न करे: 12 घंटे से लंबी स्ट्रीम पर YouTube की archive और DVR सीमाएं लागू हो सकती हैं। स्थानीय रिकॉर्डिंग से बैकअप रखें।
