PC Slower Than It Used to Be?

First compare YouTube Live Control Room with your encoder’s preview and logs; then test upload stability and another network path; finally use MyJio diagnostics to check the JioFiber connection. That sequence helps separate an encoder or stream setup issue from Wi-Fi, local network, or service problems.
What “encoder disconnected” means
YouTube is no longer receiving a usable feed from your encoder. The message alone does not identify why: the encoder may have stopped sending, its output may be unhealthy, or the outbound connection to YouTube may have failed. YouTube’s troubleshooting guidance says that when the stream looks and sounds healthy in the encoder, an outbound internet connection issue is one possibility: Troubleshoot your YouTube live stream.
There is no established JioFiber-specific fix for this exact message. The reviewed official guidance does not establish a JioFiber-wide YouTube block or outage, a port restriction, or a universal DNS or router setting that resolves it. Diagnose the particular stream before changing network settings.
Capture the error and compare the encoder
- Record the time and exact wording. Note the Live Control Room health message and timestamp before making changes. YouTube says health errors include timestamps and remain visible while unresolved: YouTube live-stream health errors.
- Check what the encoder reports at that moment. Look for its own lost-connection or output warning, and check CPU load, preview, and local recording or archive for freezes, missing audio, or other glitches.
- Compare the evidence. If the encoder preview or local archive is also failing, investigate the encoder, computer load, or source first. If it remains healthy while YouTube loses the feed, continue with outbound network checks.
- Note whether other devices lose internet at the same time. A simultaneous problem across devices points toward a broader local connection issue; a YouTube-only failure needs further isolation.
Check the encoder version, stream key, and settings
Update and verify the stream setup
Install the latest available version of your encoder, then confirm it is sending to the intended YouTube event with the correct stream configuration. If the disconnection happens while starting the stream, YouTube’s troubleshooting flow specifically suggests generating a new stream key in Live Control Room and updating the encoder with it. A key reset is a startup troubleshooting step, not a default fix for every mid-stream interruption.

- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Match YouTube’s current encoder guidance
Check YouTube’s current live-stream troubleshooting guidance and encoder settings guidance for the stream you actually send. The relevant settings include RTMP or RTMPS, a supported video codec and audio format, constant bitrate, and keyframe frequency. YouTube recommends a two-second keyframe interval and says not to exceed four seconds. Its bitrate recommendations depend on resolution, frame rate, and codec, so use the matching row rather than choosing a number based only on the word “1080p.” For example, the current H.264 guidance lists 5 Mbps minimum and 14 Mbps recommended for 1080p at 30 fps, and 6 Mbps minimum and 17 Mbps recommended for 1080p at 60 fps.
If an RTMPS connection reports an SSL or timeout error
Confirm the encoder supports RTMPS and that its server field contains the full RTMPS URL shown in Live Control Room. If the URL looks correct but the encoder reports an SSL error, YouTube’s guidance says specifying port 443 can be tried: YouTube RTMPS troubleshooting. Do not change a working stream’s protocol or port without a relevant error to investigate.

Test upload capacity and network stability
A plan’s advertised download speed does not establish that the stream has enough stable upload capacity. YouTube says the stream’s total bitrate must fit available upload bandwidth and recommends 20% headroom; shared household usage can reduce what remains available. If you send primary and backup streams, include both bitrates when calculating the required capacity. See YouTube’s streaming tips.
- Compare the configured total stream bitrate with measured upload performance under realistic household use, not just when other devices are idle.
- Check whether other people or devices are uploading, backing up files, gaming, or otherwise using the connection during the drop.
- If practical, test the encoder computer over Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi. A Cat6 cable is one option for a wired test; Jio’s JioExtender6 guide documents connecting a computer through the unit’s LAN port: JioExtender6 guide.
- Try a private or unlisted test stream over Ethernet, then compare with Wi-Fi. If available, test through an independent connection such as a phone hotspot as well.
These are comparison tests, not proof that JioFiber is responsible. If Ethernet works but Wi-Fi does not, investigate the wireless or in-home network path. If another internet connection works while JioFiber fails, that narrows the route to examine but does not alone establish an ISP fault.

Run JioFiber diagnostics in MyJio
- Link your JioFiber account in the MyJio app.
- Open Home or Fiber (the label can vary with the app layout), then open JioCare.
- Choose Run Diagnostics and follow the action shown for the finding.
Jio says Run Diagnostics checks connection health, router status, device configuration, and Wi-Fi strength. Possible findings include slow speed, low signal, router offline, configuration error, loose cable, speed drop, or device overload. The app’s result is more useful than applying a generic router fix: Jio Run Diagnostics guidance.
Use router checks only when the symptoms fit
- Check that the fiber cable is firmly connected and not bent. After restarting the Home Gateway, Jio’s user guide says to allow three to five minutes for the indicator to stabilize.
- If the router light is green but there is no connectivity, Jio’s guide suggests checking the plan, temporarily removing an external router or switch for a test, or disconnecting a VPN temporarily. Do not remove equipment required for the connection.
- Jio recommends restarting the router monthly as maintenance. A restart can help with some prolonged-operation issues, but it is not a guaranteed fix for recurring YouTube disconnections.
These steps are drawn from Jio’s JioFiber User Guide and its router restart advice. Avoid factory-resetting the gateway as a first-line streaming fix.

Decide who to contact from the test results
- Encoder preview or archive is faulty: investigate the encoder, computer load, source, and stream settings before contacting Jio.
- Several devices or services lose connectivity, or MyJio reports a line/router issue: contact Jio support and provide the diagnostic result, the time of the drop, and whether Ethernet changed the outcome.
- Other internet services work, but YouTube ingest fails across more than one connection: revisit encoder settings and YouTube Live Control Room health messages, then follow YouTube’s troubleshooting flow. The reviewed sources do not establish a JioFiber-specific YouTube block.
If YouTube’s troubleshooting steps do not resolve the stream, YouTube says to report the issue through its support process: YouTube live-stream troubleshooting. Outage status can change, so check current service information when the problem occurs rather than relying on an old report.
Or let it run in the cloud
