If your YouTube Live stream keeps repeating a promo or other video, first find out where the repetition occurs: in the Live Control Room preview, in the completed stream archive, or only in one viewer’s player. That distinction points to whether to inspect the outgoing feed or the viewer’s playback—and avoids guessing at a “store promo loop” setting that YouTube does not document.
First, identify who sees the repeated video
Check the stream from the creator’s side and ask another viewer what they see. YouTube’s encoder workflow lets you check a stream preview in Live Control Room before going live. Afterward, the archive can help you compare what was broadcast with what a particular viewer saw. Treat this comparison as a diagnostic, not as an official YouTube diagnosis of this specific symptom.
- It repeats in the Live Control Room preview: Check the media and scene being sent by your encoder or production software.
- The preview looked right, but the completed archive repeats: Check the active source and feed during the broadcast, then compare the archive with what viewers report.
- Only one viewer sees it: Check that viewer’s player and playback context; do not assume the broadcast itself is looping.
YouTube does not identify an issue or feature called a “store promo loop” in the cited help pages. “Store” could mean different storefront or production services, so the exact cause depends on the platform, software or device involved.
If the repetition is in the preview or archive
Check the feed your encoder is sending
In the encoder or production software, confirm which media file, scene or source is active and that it is the intended one. If your setup combines a store promo with other content, check that the promo has not become the only active source. The exact controls vary by software; YouTube’s instructions explain how to send an encoder stream, but do not prescribe a loop-specific reset.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Verify the YouTube stream setup
YouTube’s encoder workflow uses a YouTube Live server URL and stream key. In Live Control Room, check the preview before going live and confirm that it shows the intended feed. For a scheduled stream, YouTube says you can open and manage it from Live Control Room.
- Open the stream or scheduled event in Live Control Room.
- Confirm that your encoder is connected using the intended YouTube server URL and stream key.
- Inspect the preview before going live. If the repeated promo is already visible there, return to the encoder or production software and inspect its active media and scene.
- Test the corrected feed before the next broadcast and monitor audio and video quality while it is live.
YouTube’s encoder help says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Use the archive as a comparison point when available; the cited guidance does not establish that every longer stream will have an archive.

If only one viewer sees the repetition
Ask that viewer to check whether they enabled repeat for a video or playlist, where those controls are available. YouTube documents repeat controls for videos and playlists, but that guidance does not establish that the same toggle controls every kind of live-stream repetition.
If other viewers see normal playback and the archive does not contain the repeated segment, focus on that viewer’s player and playback context rather than changing the encoder feed. YouTube’s cited help pages do not provide a specific fix for this exact live-playback symptom.

If the cause is still unclear
Before changing settings, collect the details that distinguish one setup from another:
- Which store or storefront service is involved?
- What streaming software or production device is sending the feed?
- Does the repetition appear in the Live Control Room preview, the archive, or only a viewer’s player?
- Can another viewer reproduce it?
- Does the promo repeat at the same point, or does the entire live feed appear to restart?
Use that information to troubleshoot the relevant product’s support guidance. The YouTube sources cited here cover encoder setup, previewing and viewer repeat controls; they do not establish a universal reset or a hardware purchase that fixes this symptom.
