If you need a cloud service to keep a YouTube channel live around the clock using uploaded videos, StreamNeo is the first option to consider: it runs from the cloud, supports uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day. For relaying a live camera or gaming feed, compare cloud encoders and multistreaming services instead. These are different workflows, and their prices are not directly interchangeable.
Choose the service for the workflow you actually need
“Cloud streaming” can mean three different things: sending a live feed to cloud infrastructure for relay, automatically looping prerecorded video as a live broadcast, or configuring a cloud API to process and distribute a live channel. Decide which one you need before comparing prices.
| Workflow | What it does | Best fit |
|---|---|---|
| Cloud service encoder or relay | Receives a live encoded feed and distributes it to selected channels, resolutions, or platforms. | Live camera, gameplay, or event feed that needs relaying to multiple destinations or less encoding work on the local computer. |
| Automated 24/7 prerecorded streaming | Runs uploaded videos or playlists continuously or on a schedule as a YouTube live stream. | A channel that should stay live while its owner is away or their computer is off. |
| Cloud live-processing API | Processes configured live inputs and outputs, billed according to active time and setup. | Developers or operators building a customized streaming workflow. |
YouTube distinguishes cloud service encoders from local software or hardware encoders. It describes cloud services as useful for simplifying setup, reducing load on an older or slower computer, or streaming to more than two channels. A local encoder gives a creator direct control and relies on the computer’s processing capacity. YouTube’s encoder overview explains the distinction.
24/7 YouTube streaming services for prerecorded video
These services address a different need from a cloud relay: they run prerecorded content continuously or according to a schedule. StreamNeo is listed first because it keeps an uploaded-video stream running from the cloud, supports the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and gives new accounts a free first day.

Cloud relays and developer-managed processing
YouTube cloud service encoders
YouTube’s cloud service encoder category is for sending one live feed to selected destinations. A relay can be useful when you need to distribute the same live event to several channels or platforms, or move encoding work off a constrained computer. A relay is not automatically a 24/7 prerecorded-video scheduler: confirm that a provider explicitly supports looping and unattended operation if that is your goal.
Google Cloud Live Stream API
Google Cloud’s Live Stream API is an API-based processing service, not a simple fixed-price channel subscription. Charges depend on how long a channel is active, configured resolution, input and output streams, codec, and distribution. Google says an active channel can incur charges even when no input stream is arriving. There is a ten-minute minimum, after which duration is rounded up to the next minute; distribution streams are additional outputs.

The 2026 rates reviewed were displayed in USD. For H.264 input, Google listed $0.07/hour for SD, $0.14/hour for HD, and $0.85/hour for UHD; H.264 output was listed at $0.22/hour for SD, $0.45/hour for HD, and $1.50/hour for UHD. H.265 rates, distribution endpoints, and captioning are separately priced. These are not INR rates. Google directs non-USD customers to its currency-specific Cloud Platform SKUs, so an INR estimate needs the applicable SKU and the exact configuration. Check Google Cloud Live Stream API pricing and Cloud Platform SKUs.
Google’s pricing page also gives configuration-specific examples: $8.89 for one channel with two UHD inputs and seven outputs in us-central1, and $5.17 for an HD setup with distribution endpoints in europe-west2. They illustrate how configuration and region affect charges; they are not typical bills or INR estimates.
Compare price and capability on the same basis
Monthly subscription prices are easiest to compare when the services perform the same job. A relay plan, a 24/7 prerecorded-video slot, and usage-based API processing are not equivalent units. Compare the details that determine your actual setup:

- Automation: If you need unattended prerecorded streaming, check for playlists, scheduling, reconnect or recovery behavior, and storage limits.
- Billing and tax: Distinguish recurring subscription, prepaid duration, storage add-ons, and usage-based charges. Check whether GST is included or added, and do not convert USD to INR without an applicable official rate or SKU.
Set up a live feed safely and reliably
For a camera, game capture, or other live source, YouTube’s encoder workflow uses the YouTube Live server URL and stream key in the encoder. YouTube recommends a stable quality appropriate to your upload connection, a speed test, a test stream, health monitoring, and RTMPS for encrypted delivery. YouTube also transcodes live streams into output formats for different devices and network conditions. See YouTube’s encoder setup guidance and live encoder settings and stream health guidance.
- Choose the encoder. Use a local software or hardware encoder when you want direct control and your computer or encoder can handle capture and encoding. Choose a cloud relay when you need cloud distribution or want less encoding load on the local computer.
- Prepare the YouTube event. In YouTube Studio, create or schedule the live stream and obtain its server URL and stream key. Keep the key private; anyone who has it may be able to send video to the broadcast.
- Configure the encoder. Paste the YouTube server URL and stream key into the encoder’s streaming destination. Use RTMPS if the encoder offers it. Match the output resolution and frame rate to what your source and connection can reliably sustain.
- Check the connection and test. Run an upload-speed test and leave headroom rather than choosing a bitrate that consumes the entire available upload capacity. Test before the event, then check YouTube’s stream-health indicators while transmitting.
- Monitor the actual broadcast. Confirm that YouTube receives a stable signal and that audio, video, and the intended event are correct before sharing or relying on the stream.
Copyright, reused content, and continuous broadcasts
A technically stable stream can still violate YouTube rules or fail monetization review. You are responsible for having the rights needed to broadcast every video, music track, image, and other element in a playlist. Permission to use a recording privately does not automatically include public streaming rights. Review YouTube’s current copyright guidance before using third-party material.
Copyright compliance and monetization eligibility are separate questions. Repeatedly looping content does not establish that it is original or eligible for monetization; YouTube reviews channels under its monetization policies, including reused-content rules. Check the current YouTube channel monetization policies and the applicable live-stream rules before scheduling a long-running broadcast.

When a standalone encoder makes sense
A hardware encoder is an optional path for a camera or switcher workflow; it is not a requirement for cloud streaming. Blackmagic Design lists its Streaming Encoder HD at ₹55,980 on its India technical-specification page and describes it as a standalone HD streaming processor using SRT or RTMP, including delivery to platforms such as YouTube. This is a manufacturer-listed hardware price, not a cloud-service charge. Check Blackmagic Design’s product details.
Cost planning by use case
One unattended YouTube channel with uploaded videos
Compare the price per slot or channel, included storage, billing duration, and whether a free trial is available. Account for any storage add-on and tax rather than comparing headline monthly prices alone. For StreamNeo, the included storage is pooled across active slots; its plans differ by billing period, not features.
A live feed sent to several destinations
Count each output and concurrent channel, then check whether the service charges per channel, platform, or output. A low per-channel price may not represent the cost of a multi-output setup.
A custom API pipeline
Estimate active processing time, input count and resolution, output count and resolution, codec, distribution endpoint charges, captioning, and region. Include time when the channel is active but not receiving input, where applicable. Use Google’s current SKU or quote for INR billing rather than applying an informal currency conversion to the USD rate table.

Quick Recap
Troubleshooting common setup problems
- YouTube receives no signal: Recheck that the encoder has the correct server URL and current stream key, that the event is ready to receive a signal, and that the encoder is actively sending.
- Stream health is poor or video drops: Lower the selected quality or bitrate until the upload connection can sustain it reliably. Retest and watch YouTube’s health indicators rather than relying on a speed-test result alone.
- Local computer struggles during a live event: Reduce local encoding load or use a cloud relay if the workflow is live-feed distribution. For unattended prerecorded video, use a service designed to loop uploads rather than leaving a local computer running.
- Costs exceed expectations: Check active channel duration, resolution, input and output counts, distribution endpoints, storage, tax, and whether charges accrue without incoming video. These factors matter especially for usage-based API processing.
- A 24/7 stream stops or cannot run unattended: Verify that the selected service explicitly includes continuous playback, scheduling or looping, and its stated recovery behavior. Do not assume a live-feed relay includes prerecorded automation.
