MASTER DUEL launched on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on January 19, 2022. It is free to download and play, with optional in-game purchases, and supports online duels with players on other platforms.
What Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL is
Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL is Konami’s digital adaptation of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. It includes deck-building tools, tutorials and Duel Strategy modes, Solo Mode campaigns, online duels, events, and card crafting. Konami describes it as using the TCG/OCG Master Rules. Konami’s product page outlines the game and its features.
At launch, Konami said more than 10,000 cards were available to collect, while noting that some could require event participation or in-game purchases. That is a launch-era figure, not a verified current card count. Konami’s January 2022 announcement gives the original figure and qualification.
Is Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL free on Xbox?
Yes. The game is free to download and play, but it offers optional in-game purchases. The Xbox Store listing labels it “Free+” and notes in-app purchases. Free access does not mean every card or item is free. Store offers and prices can vary by region and change over time.
